Every time I go here, I'm impressed with their food. And every dish, too, is just really delicious. They have some new younger servers that aren't at the level of this restaurant though, so we order to go.

We have eaten at Al Fresco several times and have always enjoyed our experiences. The servers are always pleasant and knowledgeable. The food is wonderful - flavorful and nicely presented. Nice choice of wines. The last time we visited was on a Saturday night, we made reservations late in the afternoon and they made sure we had a table. I might add that it was a very busy Saturday night, large party in another room and every table was sat.
Al Fresco is a restaurant I recommend to others and plan on returning to again and again.

I had just read an article that suggested one put half their meal aside to take home. Here, it was difficult! The shrimp pasta dish that I had was great! It also had calamari and some other seafood mixed in in a tomato sauce. DELICIOUS. The owner/manager was by the table a couple times to make sure all was well, and the wait staff was attentive and spot on. There seemed to be a lot of regulars there; the owner/manager met several people at the door with a hug or a handshake. I'll go there again. For sure.

The tiramisu was to die for.

I have dined here for lunch and dinner over the years and have always enjoyed it. Food has always been good and so has the service. I work nearby and it is on our regular business / employee outings list. They handle large groups well.

OK-- so you're clearly not dining on piazza San Marco in Rome...it's a strip mall on the peninsula, but with the reviews we read here, we had high hopes. The restaurant.was busy on a Saturday night, so we figured it must be great, however, we left disappointed and reaching for antacids. It started with our drink orders--an Italian place that doesn't serve prosecco by the glass? OK--we'll have Brut, but when served, one glass bubbled and one was flat as a pancake. I sent it back and the waitress said she'd used the last of a bottle on both and then topped both glasses off with a new bottle. Ouch. There doesn't seem to be a bartender--the wait staff does it on their own. After a redo, we tried for a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc...it might be on the menu, but they didn't have it. Trying a glass of Italian red, it was warm and spoiled. We tried again and this time got a cool bottle opened table side. Gee...that only took three tries. The salad and breadsticks were very plain, the salad was overdressed and consisted mostly of lettuce, with one small olive and one tomato slice with a couple sliced onions. The salad portion was large, however...clearly Americanized, as I never had a portion or a salad like that in five years in Italy. Our entrees were again large portions, swimming In a thin, salty caper sauce as other reviewers have noted. The taste was good though, the pasta al dente, and it salvaged the meal--as it had been bordering on a disaster so far, but less salt, please and about half the sauce would make it a nice dish. Overall, most of the clientele seemed happy, so maybe it was just us...spoiled from living and eating in Italy and other authentic Italian restaurants. However, the manager never stopped by our table, even after it was obvious we were having trouble with the drinks and we'd have liked to give some feedback In sum, it's large portions of American-Italian food at a reasonable price in a strip mall. We probably wouldn't go back, but we'd certainly recommend hiring a bartender or doing some training with the wait staff on wine service.
