They have great food and it's a fun place to go at night. They do have food at night also but the nighttime is for dancing and drining. Fun place to go.

This is a perfect bar/restaurant just as you enter the new town center area of Newport News. The staff is very attentive and they make sure you receive great service. We went for lunch and I had the crab cakes. They are made from scratch and wonderful. I suggest you get them blackened. Everyone in our party loved the food. Nothing fancy - just good home made creations of a good chef. We were told that they have local entertainment nightly and that it is a fun spot to hang out for the evening. We hope to go back when we visit again.

We usually go on the weekends for some drinks and to hear some live music. They've got a little stage area up front and usually have good bands playing, or karaoke. It's a pretty cool spot at night, though it can get pretty loud, so either go during the day or sit toward the back if you're not into that. They have great appetizers and drinks, and the service has always been good. Would recommend this place.

Perhaps once a month I visit. There are great lunch specials that are tasty. Service is spotty with slow service whenever we had more than four eating together. Wait staff seemed friendly and competent. Selection was good.

This restaurant is a bit hard to find but so worth the search. In a small office building on corner of Jefferson and Thimble Shoals facing the Mexican restaurant that fronts Thimble Shoals. ANYWAYS, we went because my mother and I both have the entertainment book and Newport News is about 1/2 way between our homes. Nevertheless, our dinners were 12.99 each and worth every bit. The guys order the tuna steaks (roughly 8 ounces each) which were perfectly cooked and served with a wasabi/cucumber ranch sauce on the side. My mother and I both ordered the grilled salmon which was also generously portioned and tasty - no bones, no skin. Included in the cost were two sides or a side and a salad for an extra 79 cents. We all ordered streamed asparagus - each of us probably got a fist full and it was cooked al dente - what a treat! Caesar salads were fresh with romaine lettuce, lots of fresh shredded parm and dripping in a delicious dressing (might want to ask for that on the side or less on the salad). Garden salad was nixed b/c we don't like "genuine" iceberg lettuce but it sounded like it had lots of veggies inc. radishes. Garlic mashed potatoes were good, not great and not piping hot. The large "breadstick" that came with each meal complemented the meal - but you'll have to ask for butter. The atmosphere is more of a bar/pub than fine dining so one might miss the delicious entrees thinking it's just a deli. Menu is extensive and everything from the Reuben ($8.99) to the Saturday night special, prime rib ($16.99) sounded yummy. There is outdoor dining shielded by umbrellas and two walls but it looked as though it was the smokers who braved the heat. Band was setting up for a 10PM show with a $5.00 cover. Would go back if I'm in that area of Newport News - and hope this restaurant comes down to the Norfolk area.
