I arranged to meet some business colleagues here for dinner and drinks and was not disappointed. Easy to locate, plenty of free on-street parking. Wonderful location and ambiance. Excellent food, wine and service.

My wife turned me on to Circa and it was awesome. We ordered the Tuna Tar Tar for a dinner app, we were excited to hear that the chef wanted to add smoked bacon and we agreed. The tar tar was excellent. I ordered the Salmon which was great. My wife ordered the Bison Meatloaf. The drinks are a little on the pricy side but the meal is well worth it. Plus my wife really enjoys the cocktail "Lady Sings the Blues". Make reservations because this little gem can get crowded in a hurry!

My husband and i had a lovely evening eating at the bar of this cozy, unique restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient -- there was not a moment of downtime for the kitchen, bartender or wait staff, yet they seemed to make everyone feel attended to and special. The mussels were among the best we've ever tasted -- the broth was spicy, with chorizo and thinly sliced peppers served with perfectly toasted bread to soak up everything possible. Drinks were unique and attractive presented. We also drove around the neighborhood which is a historical preservation area. Highly recommend.

We'd heard about this restaurant and decided to try it a while back. We were kicking ourselves that we hadn't come sooner! The dishes the chef prepares are so fresh and current with what's in season. They are unique and quite tasty. The servers are cool, nice and knowledgeable. It is a small restaurant but has a busy local vibe. The small bar gets crowded mostly by locals. They have a good wine selection as well. You need reservations otherwise you may not get in. There is street parking or a little parking lot for the Hilton Village. Eating outside may be difficult as there are only a few tables. We've been here to celebrate various special occasions and have never been disappointed. We've also attended a wine tasting that was paired with the right dishes. That was a phenomenal evening! We love to eat at this restaurant.

A group of us decided to try this place on a recommendation from a friend. The ambience is cozy, staff are warm and welcoming-very knowledgable and accommodating.
The food was presented well and tasted very good. There are offerings you won't find elsewhere and the unique flavor combinations are worth a try...if you can deal with the locals.

Our group was not loud or obnoxious but as an observant type I noticed we were stared at by several tables of what were clearly "regulars" at this establishment. (all hugs and handshakes with the staff)

One of our group was actually insulted outside for taking a call and smoking, well away from the building!

I'm sorry, this could be a great place to visit for it's culinary offerings but like most places worth going to, the mentality and standoffish typical Virginian is not something I'm willing to put up with.
