We were in town for a funeral. We had found the hotel online through a booking site, and received a really great price. But prior to the actual booking we didn't know which hotel we would be staying at.
When we found out it was the Comfort Inn we called to ensure we could get a King bed. Unfortunately the computer system was down when we first called so we were not able to make that request. When we called the next day we were able to secure the last King bed room, but it would be the handicapped room. For us, no big deal.
When we arrived the hotel, the room, and all the staff we encountered were well above par. The room did have a little odor to it - we later equated it to a service dog having stayed prior in the room, and the room not being aired out. It wasn't an obnoxious smell, just noticeable. The staff immediately provided room spray that quickly knocked it down.
If we wanted something, the staff was right there, always with a smile. The housekeepers were some of the most pleasant staff members we have ever encountered! And they allowed, and handled a late checkout without a glitch.
Our only disappointment was that the relatives had us booked solid so we were not able to try the free breakfast. Next time, I think we'll arrive a day early or stay a day later than we tell the relatives, because we'll definitely be staying at this hotel again.
