“A real village not a concrete jungle and the Russians haven't found it - yet”
Reviewed March 20, 2014

Stayed a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. More relaxed than its neighbouring towns of meribel and truly pretty. Church, bars and a ski hire shop and a small supermarket. Real people live here and stop and chat in the street. The bubble to Chaudanne is easy convenient and has disabled parking too. The bubble is free so non skiers can poodle into town and enjoy the view. Or stop at le Rafort for lunch at le martagon .

“my mountain refuge (les allues)”
Reviewed February 26, 2014

This is my second winter season here in this lovely french village,a peaceful place to live and some majestic views from some of the chalets add to the experience of living in the 3 valleys.A short ride by gondola or bus will get you to any of the hubs for the extensive lift system where you have a massive ski domain to explore and some lively apres ski when your legs are done.To live in a place where the loudest noise is the church bell and not emergency services is bliss. As mentioned in other reports Les Allues has all the amenities be it bar or restaurant and some of the bands doing the season in the main ski areas also come down to Steve&Kate`s Bar/Restaurant
La Tsaretta and make for some lively evenings.

“Fantastic little gem”

Loved this village, lovely chalets reasonably priced for Meribel to hire and directly on the bus route or the cable car taking about 15 minutes to the fantastic resort.

“Best skiing in Europe”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

This s a very pleasant resort for everyone, including families. There are loads of different slopes for all standard of skier. Free bus up to the slopes and also a bubble gondola. Les Allues is small but has a few bars and restaurants but no other night life. Very beautiful area. Small supermarket in village but a huge one at the bottom of the hill. Best o do your big shop before going up.
