A free bus goes from here right into the centre of Meribel. Les Allues offers quality resturants for eating out, Great bar which serves up superb choice of beers and wine and also fresh cooked Pizza. Also Ski and Boot hire which if you order on line before going you will get good discount and also a local mini market which serves fresh bread every morning, aswell as your fresh food needs.

“Les Allues, the hidden gem in The Méribel Valley”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

If you prefer to be in a typical and picturesque French village, than a purpose built resort, but with quick links to an awesome ski area, this village is for you. It has everything you need with a real village ambiance, 5 restaurants and bars, a good grocery store ,post office and as the original capital of The Méribel Valley, the grand town hall.
We discovered Le Allues over 10 years ago and love the village atmosphere and, as it costs a bit less to stay here than Méribel or Mottaret, great value.
For skiing, driver oir get the free bus to Méribel-Village, park free by the fast lift. There are never queues here, even at peak season

“Picturesque Savoyarde village with great access to Meribel & the 3 Valleys”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

Les Allues is a picturesque Savoyarde village situated in the Meribel valley just a few minutes drive from Meribel centre. The village is home to the town hall, a well stocked village shop with daily fresh bread, several restaurants, a hotel and and English-run bar. There is also a post office, ski hire shop and cash point. Access to Meribel centre in winter is easy with the free ski buses running from early morning until just after midnight and the Olympic gondola running straight up to the Chaudanne in Meribel centre from 8.45am - 4.30pm.

Les Allues is a great place to stay for families and groups wanting all the benefits of skiing in the 3 Valleys with less cost than staying in Meribel centre and a quieter village atmosphere.

Nice place to stop and sample the local establishments especially if you are on one of the many walks in the area.
