“Good but not the best”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2013

Over popular and difficult to get a booking for 4 people though may be better when not French half term. Beware, this is not a restaurant to linger in. Two sittings at 7& 9.45.We could only get 7 o clock. Disappointed by the restaurant being more than half full of children under about 12 & a great many under 6. The experience was akin to a childrens birthday party - but with a price tag of almost £300. This was not what the 4 of us expected. Prompt service but cramped tables and the overall ambience not worth it. Go for the 9.45 sitting if you can get it and want adult company. Or better still go to nearby Le Grain de Sel for a better experience in all respects.

“One of my new favorites in Meribel Mottaret.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2013

I’m so happy I finally gave La Brizolee a try. The staff could not have been more helpful. The food was served promptly and very much to my satisfaction. Their menu consists of a nice selection of regional specialties and the wine list is well balanced. In “relative terms”, I would rank La Brizolee as a good value. I recommend this restaurant.

“Nowhere better in Mottaret”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2013

We have been eating here for years. It has never let us down. It combines a warm, cosy atmosphere with a pleasing buzz. The staple menu is Savoyard specialities - rather too much of that in Mottaret - executed well. For those with no appetite for raclette, fondue, or cooking their own meat on a hot stone, La Brizolee offers decent pizzas, risotto and pretty good steaks or lamb. There's even a couple of fish dishes. The cote de boeuf for two is an epic kilo of meat on the bone. But be careful...medium rare is unusually red here, so the squeamish should order it medium. All the meat dishes come with healthy salad and vegetables, as well as terrific fries. Sadly, the dauphinois potatoes are no longer offered. Wash it all down with their excellent Mondeuse. We rarely eat pudding, but the hot chocolate moelleux is outstanding, the tiramisu very good, and the tarte tatin well worth trying

And to cap it all, the patron is very friendly and accommodating. It gets very busy...we always book. Typically, the restaurant takes reservations for 19.00 and 21.15
