I recently got back from an amazing week staying at Chalet Everest with Go Ski Meribel. We were a group of 13 and had taken the full chalet.

The chalet itself is well laid out, very homely and comfortable. Matt the owner of Go Ski Meribel has kitted out the chalet with a lot of small add-ons that really added a lot to our holiday. In particular a couple of down days due to injury were spent on the playstation and working my way through the extensive DVD collection.

The food was excellent throughout the week with Dan doing a sterling job in the kitchen, ably assisted by Yana. The free bar was put to the test and not found wanting, even on the last night when we really pushed the boat out…

The chalet is situated about 100 metres down the hill from Dicks Tea bar which really is the ideal distance, close enough for an easy walk but not close enough for noise. The walk into town takes between 5 and 10 minutes.

Matt runs a bus in the morning and afternoon and dropped us off wherever we wanted which was mainly the Chaudanne. Nothing was too much trouble for Mat, from telling us the bars with the best live music, bars we’d get cheaper drinks in, to 1 night when my girlfriends ski’s were accidently lifted from outside a bar and returned to a hire shop. Matt took care of the full thing for us, contacting both hire shops and getting another set of ski’s delivered with a couple of hours. Without exaggerating nothing was too much trouble for him.

Overall I can’t fault Chalet Everest or the operation that Matt runs, you’ll could certainly pay a lot more, and you could definitely pay a bit less, but Matt offers great value for money from an experience, food and drink and chalet point of view. It was easily 1 of the best Chalet experiences i've had.

We’ll definitely be back.

We were are group 13 staying at chalet everest, and from the moment we stepped inside I knew it was going to be a fun packed holiday... Mat was there to help organise, pickup, drop off, and make some very dangerous cocktails before dinner... (Cheers Mat)
Ski hire was organised before we left Scotland so all our equipment was there ready and waiting.
1/2 way through the week during après my hire ski got taken (by accident) Mat did everything to get them back to me for the next day. It was a weight of my mind.
The food was absolutely delicious. Dan and Jana spoilt us rotten. The hot breakfast, yummy cakes after skiing and 3 course meals with loads of wine!!!!!
Big thanks Mat, Dan and Jana. Will defo be back :)

My husband and me decided to take the whole family (children and grandchildren) to a ski vacation. From the minute I saw the picture of Chalet Everest in Meribel and contacted Mat I decided
this is it! Mat with his fantastatic organization made everything easy, the transfers, the ski equipment
waiting for us at the chalet, the ski pass, everything was done perfect. The chalet itself is so confortable and the gourmet food prepared by Dan and the sweet smile of Jana, the cocktails with the canapes and Mat always ready to help makes a dream come true.
We all, eight adults and eight children (years 1 1/2 to 10)had a wonderful week, since we came back
we cannot stop remembering how lovely was everything in Chalet Everest in Meribel, and dreaming
to go back next year.
We also were very lucky with the weather, we had beautiful sunny days and blue skies and one day of snow to taste what is snowing, where we live hardly snows and only far away from home.
We also loved Meribel and its surroundings, the beautiful landscapes, the restaurants and the fantastic
free buses that take you everywhere.
Once again Mat thank you and Dan and Jana for giving us a wonderful week
Eva and the whole tribe

Room Tip: We had the whole chalet for us and all rooms were perfect

From the moment we contacted Mat about making a reservation at Chalet Everest, we got excellent service and advice. From renting our ski equipment, transfers, ski passes, ski school and booking restaurants, nannies and massages. Mat did it all. The food was awesome, Dan is a great cook. Meribel itself is a wonderful place for ski holiday, with something for everyone. Chalet Everest is very well situated, close to the ski lifts and with Mat dropping us every morning, it was really easy getting to ski school etc. We all had a wonderful time in Meribel and Chalet Everest. Best New Years ever. It would be awesome to go and stay again. Thank you Mat, Dan and Jana.

My partner and I had the pleasure staying at Chalet Everest December 2012. We were greeted at the airport by our host Mat who really did cater for our every need. Mat had arranged our airport transfers and organised for our ski hire and lift passes to be delivered to the chalet upon our arrival.

Everest itself is a charming french chalet. Our room was clean and comfortable with excellent ensuite facilities. We were pleased to find our rooms cleaned and beds made upon our return from the slopes. We made full use of the free internet provided as well as the lounge area and although we didn't make use of it ourselves, another bonus is the chalet has a sauna.

As for dining, we started the day with a cooked breakfast and after a long day on the slopes we would return to a freshly baked cake and much anticipated cup of tea! The evening would kick off with Mat as bartender serving up cocktails and canapés. We would then be served a balanced and delicious three course meal and if there was any room left a tempting cheese board on offer.

Overall it was a fantastic holiday and we can't wait to return! Thank you to Mat, Dan and Jana who really did make the difference to our stay.
