Beware. The hotel advertises that it is handicap accessible. It is not. There is no elevator and steep steps from the car park to the hotel and steps to the rooms which are on upper floors. Our room was twenty stair steps from the main floor. The room was sparse but clean even though the sheets were not changed for the three nights we stayed. There is no safe. When you review the instructions in the room you learn that you cannot eat in the room, even though they provide a coffee pot and coffee and tea. They provide a washer and dryer for your use at 8 euros per load. The machines and refrigerator for guests use are down a steep circular staircase from the main floor. Parking on site is free but problematic. There are more rooms than car park spaces and you could be blocked in, hoping the blocking car has followed the hotels rules and left his car keys in a common drawer. I certainly would not want a stranger moving my rental car in such tight spaces. Breakfast was buffet style and very good. This hotel needs updating and renovation, and it did not compare to every other 2 and 3 star hotel in France we stayed at.

bonjour Monsieur

We just spent two nights at Clos du Buis and found the hotel to be wonderful in every way: friendly staff, lovely room, and an incredible breakfast of the usual pastries and bread but also homemade tarts, eggs, a selection of local jams and jellies, and even local honeycomb! A wonderful place to stay in beautiful Bonnieux.

Le Clos de Buis was an ideal base for two days walking, , our room was large, light and airy with good views across to the cedar forest. It had e suite facilities, kettle and TV it was perfect for ourneeds. This isn't your normal hotel where you check in with the receptionist, we were greeted, given a rour of facilities given our key, shown to our room and then left free to enjoy our time. The hotel only provides breakfast, however ther is a 'cuisine' in the basements where guests can store food etcin the fridge and produce a meal. We bought a pizza form the restaurant 100m away and ate in the garden. There is also a swimming pool, private parking and a lounge.

An old house converted into a wonderful hotel but still with the feel of a private house. Great views over the valley from a very clean well appointed bedroom with its own telephone number for incoming calls and Wi-Fi. My wife wanted to paint so the garden provided the perfect location to do so undisturbed. She was able to keep her easel and paints in the former cave overnight. The kitchen for guests to make their own picnic lunch and keep wine & food in the fridge was terrific, also an iced cold water fountain with still & sparkling water was useful. The hotel is just a very short walk to several restaurants for dinner. Parking is provided at the side of the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and staff who are charming and serve an excellent breakfast. The swimming pool has plenty of sun loungers chairs & umbrellas while the trees in the garden provide perfect shade. All in all there could not be a better place to stay in the Luberon.

Sadly we could only stay one night but this was one of the very best places we have stayed in years. Not fancy, just straight-down-the-line outstanding welcome and accommodation. The owners could not have been more welcoming. The room was really comfortable (great bed, good shower, fabulous views). Breakfast was exceptional.

Bonnieux itself is a really lovely place, full of character and loads of good places to eat.

If we get half a chance to go back, we won't hesitate!

We had a wonderful stay, nice garden with pool and practical kitchen for dining in the garden. Lots of nice restaurants near by, we liked the one on the terrace the most. The rooms have high standard and fantastic view overlooking the hills of Provence. We will definitely go back.

We have stayed at this fantastic place several times now and we keep coming back :-)
The place itself is charming with a perfect location right in the middle of Bonnieux. The rooms are wonderful and clean and we love the tea/coffee making facilities. The garden is absolutely heaven peaceful and quiet and the pool is perfect for a hot summer day - and no need to bring your own pool towels :-) We thoroughly enjoy the breakfast - even though we always end up eating too much - wonderful cheeses and cakes....! When we stay at Le Clos du Buis we feel so welcome and the service is top-quality. So THANK you so much for making us feel so special and welcome Celine, Sophie and Pierre. See you next year.
