“Fantastic hosts in a fantastic town”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

Bonnieux is without a doubt the best base from which to explore the Luberon and the Vaucluse. Although there are plenty of tourists, the town still has a local feel as it lacks the souvenir shops, overpriced galleries, and tour buses seen in Gordes, Rousillon, and Menerbes. And the best place to stay is at Jean-Marc and Marie Laure's Les Terrases, on the edge of town. I can only echo all the superlatives and praise of the previous reviewers. We stayed five days, and enjoyed the guests, the setting, and particularly the hosts, immensely. They take great pride in their establishment and it shows throughout. One day, after discussing Jean-Marc's olive trees with him, he announced that he was inviting all guests the following evening to a get together on the breakfast terrace. The next evening, he and Marie Laure provided his home grown olives, along with cheese tarts baked by Marie Laure, fruit and wine. It was a beautiful evening and thanks to the hosts and other guests, one of the most enjoyable evenings we've had traveling. The rooms are lined up along a terrace overlooking the valley below Bonnieux, with each having a private sitting area opening into the larger terrace. The view alone is worth staying here, but the rooms themselves are very nice. Large and simply furnished, each has had a recent bathroom overhaul (except room 5, which is pending). In our room (4), that included a large, zero entry walk-in shower with a European rain-style shower head. The rooms have full length glass doors that open onto the terrace, allowing ample light, and the bedding (I think Jean-Marc said it was all recently purchased Sealy bedding) was very comfortable. Finally, the location just outside Bonnieux was ideal--very quiet yet only a 5-10 minute walk to the center of town. I can't say enough about Jean-Marc, Marie Laure and Les Terrases and recommend them more highly than any of the 100+ B&Bs my wife and I have stayed in over the years.

Room Tip: Room 4 has the best view from the terrace (less vegetation blocking the view) and is the only room w...

We did enjoy our stay very much

Nice location, perfect B&B, nice people....

Especially the international profile of the hosts was great

If you like good restaurant, on walking distance to the village in Bonnieux there is plenty of opportunity

It was like heaven on earth

Many thanks to Marie Laure and Jean Marc

We will come back

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Les Terrasses du Luberon in the charming Provencal village of Bonnieux. The rooms are spacious and modern with views over the countryside. Each morning we were served a delicious breakfast on the deck and in the evening we discovered several great restaurants in town. Jean Marc and Marie Laure were delightful hosts, provided us with many helpful tips and made us feel most welcome.

This B & B was far more than expected !The outdoor areas are an extension of the well appointed rooms. The views are amazing, the location is on the outskirts of the village but within walking distance of the village ambience.
The pool was a welcome relief after a full days sightseeing.
Jean -Marc and Marie -Laurie are gracious hosts and made this stay such a memorable holiday.

We stayed at Les Terrasses de Luberon for a friends wedding and took over 4 of the 5 rooms with friends. We had a really lovely time and enjoyed having use to the pool during the day time and the breakfasts were delicious too.

Room Tip: The end room has a window rather than a door which is nice for keeping open when you sleep

Jean-Marc and Marie-Laure are lovely people, lovely hosts and have created an excellent B & B with the most awesome view. Everything one requires for a holiday is available, pool, central position in the Luberon, good restaurants nearby plus a kitchen to prepare one's own locally bought fare. Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: All rooms are good
