On our third trip to St Martin de Re in as many years, we were already familiar with the location of the hotel, but only from the outside. However, form the minute we arrived, we knew we had made a good choice. We decided to book a suite, as we felt some of the standard rooms might be quite small. We also asked for a room with a view of the harbour, which we got, and enjoyed sitting looking at the world going by after returning from cycling trips around the island. One downside of the room location was that there was some noise from people passing by at night or delivery trucks early in the morning as the hotel is located at the main entrance to the harbour. While this did not bother us, it might bother other visitors and they might be advised to request a room at the back of the hotel.
We were not sure whether to opt for breakfast at €14 per person but once we tried it we were converted. Great choice of fresh breads, fruit, juices and even bacon and eggs as well as tea and coffee and it meant it kept us going for most of the day.
As we already were familiar with St Martin de Re we did not need much help or advice from the staff but it was obvious that they were helping other guests out very well.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It certainly was the best accommodation experience we had in our three visits there. Thoroughly recommended!

Room tip: Choose rooms carefully. Rooms with a view might also have associated noise.

Our family recommended Hotel La Jetee for a great location for a family holiday. They were not wrong. The hotel itself is situated in the heard of the harbour with everything you could wish for within a short minute or two walk.
The hotel was incredibly clean, modern, fresh. It had everything you could wish for, extra fan for the hot days. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. It was a super holiday and the first of many....
Thank you to all at Hotel La Jetee

Super location in the heart of the town near the quayside. Lovely bright room with nice facilities.

Staff very helpful with everything form bike hire to encouraging us to speak French.

The breakfast was excellent - lots of choice and no limit.

It's not cheap - but then nothing is going to be during Bastille weekend in a fancy resort.

Parking a bit of a pain but not sure many hotels here have their own places.

The main 'selling point' of this hotel is the location - right on the harbour front and within 200m of the main shops. Close enough to walk to and far enough away not to be too noisy at night. Perfect.

The rooms are well appointed and it's worth paying more for a superior room (we had one night in a standard and four in a superior due to issues with our flight being changed by a day once we'd booked the original four night stay). Rooms are a decent size. Slight moan is the fact that they don't top up tea and coffee and milk. What you get on arrival is what you get for your stay and if you want more, you need to buy it. Disappointing.

Breakfast is decent. It is pricey at €14 per person but it's decent and comparable to what else is on offer in the main town. If you're the type of person who wants just a croissant and coffee then go to the local Boulanger as it's a lot cheaper but if you want more choice then it's got a decent range of food with scrambled eggs and bacon but expect a more continental style which is ideal.

Staff are helpful and friendly and you can hire bikes from reception but must pay cash for them at the time of reservation. We contacted the hotel before arrival and they organised a taxi for us from the airport.

Do remember to book a taxi two days before you leave or you could have a problem getting one in the high season.

After much research (by my wife!) we decided on this hotel for our first visit to this part of France, and have not been disappointed. Lovely quirky little place with friendly staff and a lovely breakfast should you want it. Bike hire also available. Centrally located in St Martin and our room looks out on to the harbour, at 90 degrees
