We stayed at Le Nautile for 2 nights and loved it's peaceful charm. Tucked in the little allees close to the sea,it's a perfect place to spend a few days on this lovely island. The welcome was warm and friendly, the room simple but comfortable. Mostly we loved the breakfasts with Giles mum's fig jam and his grandma's gallettes. yummy! My husband was thrilled to find Kellogg's Frosties on offer. The first time ever in 50 years this has happened. We wished we had discovered this tranquil spot when we were living in France. We would have stayed there often. The owners really care about their little hotel and their visitors.

Great hotel with lovely service and only 150 metres from the sea. Generous breakfast with good coffee and juice and a machine to boil eggs. Lots of fruit yoghurt and homemade jam. Fresh bread and croissants.
We enjoyed our walking with lots to see and do. A great recommendation from the host was The restaurant Poisson Rouge with its fantastic seafood menu. Will definetly stay here again

We stayed only the one night in mid-May. The Hotel is about 50metres from the estuary so a bracing walk along the promenade and the paths inland was in order. The room was functional and clean. As we were in a hurry we left in the morning without taking breakfast.
The staff member on duty (an owner?) was helpful through our short stay, but did recommend for our evening meal The Albatross which we thought dear for the quality of food and wine.

Warm welcome from staff on arrival, room very clean comfortable and modern and of a high standard for a 2 star hotel although it would have been nice to have had heating in the bathroom during our winter visit. As our visit was out of season we cycled the 2 km to the north of the town to eat. The hotel is set in a quiet area of Saint-Trojan les Bains and only 5 mins walk from the beach. Public areas, lounge/bar/ reception are tastefully decorated, and the gardens are filled with garden furniture and sun loungers. Private parking for cars, motorbikes and bikes. Perfect for a quiet winter hideaway, or a summer beach holiday.
