We came as a Family looking for a typical french "fruit des mer" Sunday lunch but found it surprising difficult to find. One at the beach front but that was on the pricy side, plenty selling Moules but not much else from the sea! So we settled for the "Le Blue Mob" on the Main Street leading to the beach. It advertises as specializing in fish but the only fish choice they had was Moules or Bream (Dourade)no crab shrimps etc. Between us we had Moules and the Bream which was good but nothing special. The restaurant was full with us being the only Brits but quite a few of the french opted for Burger and chips, I only hope this is not a general trend in french eating habits! deserts were mainly of the ice cream variety, nice but not too exciting. service was good and friendly and seating outside on the Terrace was pleasant. Overall ok but nothing special. As a foot note we also visited la faute sur Mer nearby and most of the restaurants were selling gallettes or pizzas so maybe the vendee beach resorts are not that great for restaurants!
