We have just arrived from an excellent 14 nights at Le Jard.
The campsite has everything you need for a family holiday and our 3 young children loved it. There is a good shop and deli about 200 meters away, lovely beach 10 mins walk and some nice places to eat just down the road.
The only difficulty I had was when I registered for the weekly petanque tournament, I didn't know that it was a doubles competition and I was the only English person there and had no partner. Luckily my new french friend Laurent arrived also with no partner and we got to the quarter final.
The campsite is clean and the pools are nice and warm. We will be returning again next year. My 8 year old daughter will partner me at Petanque

Very nice camping to stay at. Mobile homes are child-friendly and clean. The swimmingpool was good for the kids, for adults a bit small and the swim-shorts ban is bit out-dated.Minigolf was nice and cheap, we really enjoyed that one.

Just returned from 10 nights in a mobile home with our grandchildren. Booked this site because the Eurocamp site we like was full. First and last time we do that! Can't fault the staff at all, apart from the useless lifeguard. Site, toilet block and mobile all clean and well kept. However, in the very small 3 bedroomed mobile we found there was no kettle, oven, cups, (only tiny tiny coffee cups) and the cutlery was so cheap the forks and spoons kept bending. We baught mugs and decent sized tumblers to use. The smoke detector had been removed, there was no carbon monoxide detector even tho theres a gas boiler. We lost the water, gas and electricity all seperately but they were resumed within the day. the tv also had no signal. the decking had several very wonky boards that needed sorting and we kept tripping. Part of the contract is to clean the van on departure and they come and do a fingertip search before you can go! I think some of the hooligan kids in the slide pool were locals and it was mayhem and ended up dangerous with several parents taking there kids out. The pools are deep and theres only 1 part time life guard who really couldnt see all that was happening. Theres a bouncy castle with a slide etc in it next to the bar for all age kids to play on unsupervised while parents in bar, on the night ours went on we were watching, thank goodness because with no warning whatsoever thething began to deflate. Kids were shouting and getting stuck in the fols of it as it collapsed. One of our grandkids had a bruised face from being trodden on, and hes 10! I know its a French site and not up to Brithish standards but the safety side of things has put us off using French sites again. Theres hardly any kids bikes to hire either, and the local bike shops dont hire bikes for 6yr olds so consider taking your own. The area, beaches, shops etc are wonderful and we will return but only with Eurocamp!

We don't have boiler but you can use the micro wave ou the gaz to boil water. You have small cups for cafe but bowls too.
We would like to remember that the use of the swimming pools ans the others infrastructures for children stays under the parents responsability.

We decided to head south west this year and were not disappointed. The site itself was well kept and provided enough amenities for all the family. The pool area was clean at all times as were the bar/entertainment areas. The mobile was more basic than we would have been used to but still had everything you would need. The area of La Griere and La Tranche Sur Mer are beautiful. Lots to do and lots of places to eat and drink. The beaches are fabulous and I would recommend a visit. Finally, the staff in the camping ground were very helpful despite my lack of French. Would recommend to anyone wanting a more authentic French experience.

Had a good stay with my family. Goog camping for adults and kids, with nice beach at 700m walk. Restaurant bit poor, but several good restaurants in the village nearby. Friendly personell and well organised camping.
