Very nice museum and distillery tour. Generous tasting at the end. Worth the stop and take time to have lunch in the town along the water

The Palais was built by the man who re-discovered the recipe for Benedictine, originally created by monks and then lost. He then built this stunningly complicated, elaborate palace for a factory.Try the sampoles, they're a lot of fun.

We visited the Palais about 15 years ago so did not need the guided tour. However they have a lovely conservatory where we enjoyed a tasting and cup of tea. There is a large selection of drinks and cocktails. I liked the new B & B. The shop is on your way out and they have a good offer at the moment for 1 litre of each, original and B & B, for 51 euros.

Visited with a group of friends and we were all surprised as to how nice the place is. Sumptuous rooms upstairs and the distillery downstairs. The tasting room has an adjacent room with tables and chairs so you can sit down and enjoy the lovely place. The liqueur is really good. You can make reservations and pay online, very convenient. Happy we went.

We visited here in late August. The museum was fine to wander round yourself, didn’t need a guide.
You then get put in a group on the walk round the distillery section.
At the end, a couple of Benedictine drinks each in the nice courtyard.
Worth a visit, particularly if you like Benedictine.
