Super mussels; the ray (skate) was okay. Well-priced; Service was excellent. not very crowded when we went (Sat nite, late March) ; LIke the music (acoustic, blues) not overly loud, It is a nice little cafe for when you don't want "fast food" but don't want a big fancy resto; and loads better than some of the "factory" restaurants along the harbor front...

Tripadvisor let me down here, I am afraid. As the recommended reraurant in the town we made the effort to visit for a meal.
While appreciating the quirky merits of the place my wife's first reaction to the place, and the menu, was that this was a cafe and not a restaurant.

Sadly she was proved partially right. I limited menu, very gritty mussels, and a total cost of nearly £60 was a little hard to swallow.

The only other customers arrived after us, ate one course and then lest as quckly as possible.

Possibly due to the size of the place the staff seemed to hide in the kitchen in between serving us.

Other restaurants offering 15 euro, 3 course plat de jours may have proved to be a better bet.

The music was good though, matching the decor well. Lots of potential but ultimately a disappointment,

This appear as a quite simple restaurant. A short menu of tipical local food, mussel, eggs, salad, crepes. But food is delicious... service is good, they know what they cook. At the end, you pay less than 15€ and you get an incredible value.

This little café/restaurant really deserves a try. It is run by a very friendly couple. She greets and looks after you in the front whilst he does the cooking in the back, popping out to say hello and to check that all was ok once you’ve eaten. The place is decorated in a 1960s/1970s pop style in blue, yellow and orange, with Hepburn and Monroe icons on the wall.
After fixing a gang of hungry teenagers up with a takeaway, madam explained the daily menu to us. I went for the 13 euro formula which started with a plate of crevettes with mayo, three oysters (with shallots and vinegar) and about a dozen whelks in their shells. After this lovely fresh plate of fruits of the sea I then had a juicy breast of duck with sauté potatoes and salad. Finally (for the last bit of the formula) I had a strong fresh cup of expresso coffee. The wife went for a fresh green salad followed by the dish of the day, which was a couple of juicy lamb chops in herbes de provence with boiled spuds and more salad. With a couple of baskets of bread, an aperitif (pression for me and a kir for the wife) plus to a liter of very acceptable vin rouge we got the bill. At 48 euros we thought this great value for money.
