What a pleasant surprise to receive such fantastic customer service from quite possibly the nicest receptionist I've ever met. The guy on reception/running breakfast could not have been more efficient, welcoming and friendly. I've stayed at lots of these budget hotels across France over the years and this guy should get an award for being just so smiley and polite. 5 star service at budget prices. Cannot recommend him highly enough. (The rooms were also very clean and everything worked smoothly)
Struggled to find it from leaving the Eurotunnel. Reception was open and a pleasant young woman checked me in very quickly.
Slightly alarmed by the signs warning about a mosquito plague as I walked to the room. Fortunately I didn't encounter a mozzie during my stay, probably due to the time of year.
The room was generally clean but very basic. A flat screen tv and 2 small bars of soap and that was it! The double bed had a bunk bed over the top of it which was very strange. The bed was very firm and it took me a while to fall asleep.
I was advised I could get an evening meal at the main Ibis hotel across the car park but as it was a Friday night it was fully booked. However, they directed me to the shopping centre just 5 minutes walk away, where I found a wide range of meal options.
I suppose that I can't complain too much as I only paid £32, so for one night it was an ok stay near to the Tunnel and big shopping centre.
