My partner and I stayed at the Hotel B&B Dreux last month for a wedding. It is an average hotel with fairly clean rooms, all en-suite, towels, coat hangers, tv and even a wake-up call (if you want it!). They say on their website that the rooms are soundproofed but we could hear banging doors and noise coming from the main square where the hotel is situated.

The hotel is very well located in the centre of the town of Dreux (Place Mesirard). It is about 2-5 mins walk to the shopping street, market and up to the Chapelle Royale from the hotel. There is a public car park (open 24 hours, video security, lift etc) which is directly next to the hotel which is also very reasonably priced. There is a breakfast room for buffet breakfast which consists of cereals, yogurts, toast, eggs, bacon and tea/coffee/juices. It is a basic hotel with a basic breakfast. Breakfast is an extra cost at around 6Euros per head (3Euros for kids). Just remember that you have to book your breakfast at Reception the day before!

The Reception is only open at certain times of the day which can be difficult if you don't speak French and have to use their 'checking-in machine' located outside the hotel. This could be tricky to get to grips with for some travellers.

This hotel is ok if you are passing through but not for long stays.
