“Great oysters! Great local lamb!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2013 via mobile

We had read that Saint- Vaast oysters were the best in France, so being oyster- lovers, had to make a pilgrimage here during our stay in Normandy. Our bed and breakfast recommended this harbor side restaurant as moderately priced with excellent food...and it was just that. The raw oysters were very large and wonderful...other patrons were eating large plates of steamed mussels or shrimp. After the oysters, I ordered locally grown lamb for dinner. Pictures of the little farm where the sheep are raised were on the bar. Very charming. The restaurant is small and lacks a lot of atmosphere, but the food makes up for that. Lots of French families were there.

“Well worth the effort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2013

A regular "day trip" from Poole to Cherbourg and then a short car journey to St Vaast brings you to a wonderful traditional French Port Cafe full with French clients (a very good sign) savouring the fresh local sea food .

Specialities include Oysters, Mussels and Galettes

We sat outside with a delicious glass of dry white wine watching the port slowly going about its business.

We will return!

“Good location on the marina”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

Really enjoyed the food and friendly staff - my starter of prawns in coconut milk, ginger and lime was truly wonderful. Despite being mid-June, our outdoor, but under cover table was chilly until the staff turned on the heaters - but can't blame the restaurant for the weather.

“C'est magnifique!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

Visited three times during our week in St Vaast. The location is great, food excellent, atmosphere good, and the owners and staff all extremely friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to return again sometime soon. Thank you Noelle and Olivier.
