“Excellent food in a super setting at Arromanches”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

We stayed at the hotel and took our evening meal in the restaurant. the food was very good - seafood in the main and very French.
The evening was very busy and though the waiters were obviously working hard, I had the impression that the diners who chose the more expensive menu were looked after that little bit better!
However, the food was very good. The fish soup was a very strongly flavoured dish, not for the faint hearted!
The roasted Cod with braised vegetables in a fruity sauce was tasty if portion size was a little small.
We chose the recommended red wine at 25E a bottle, avoiding the Chateaux Neuf Du Pape at 178E!!!
A very nice meal spoilt by slow (inattentive) service.

If you likes have fresh and well prepared fish at lunch or dinner, this is the right place to join. The service is really professional and you can have a perfect view of the sea and of remaining parts of the port built by english and american soldiers during last world war

“Very Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013 via mobile

Was recommended by the hotel we were staying in. It was very pleasant - good food, and great wine advice. Splendid views to sea. You are overlooking what is left of the British Mulberry artificial harbour used after the D Day landings to move supplies from England to the troops. Pricing was OK, perhaps a little high.

“The Best Choice in Arromanches”

Not much else around if you want something different from fast food. Reasonable food but over-priced.

“Tasty with great views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

On a rainy June evening, we explored the small town of Arromanches. On our innkeeper's recommendation, we ate at La Marine. For folks like us who eat early in the evening, the 7 pm first seating was a little late (but made us feel very European). We are glad we waited! The food was lovely. Cod has a reputation for being plain, but the cod and risotto I had melted in my mouth. The service was perfect. Sullivan, our waiter, treated us well, helping us understand the menu when needed (we do not speak French). In addition to the tasty food, we were able to watch the sea during dinner. The restaurant is arranged so that every table has a view of the sea. If you want a relaxing place to treat yourself for dinner, visit La Marine.
