Loved seeing the restored landing craft, the air craft and the uniforms.
Needs a drop off area for easier access for disabled.

In less than an hour can get you the whole story of the D-Day landings in 1944, when you are looking out on the beach where it all happend. This museum shows the great operation with some very informative models and text explanations. The guides are really good in telling all the details about the operation. The museum also offers film and slide shows and a little book shop indside the museum.

There are always subtle changes going on in this museum, every time I visit it I can usually find new exhibits.

Keep up the good work

We recently visited this small museum and learned the story of the Mulberry Harbors for the first time. First we watched a short film about the building and placement of the artificial harbors that made D-Day possible. Then we had time to look at the dioramas, displays and artifacts throughout the museum. We ended with a multi-media presentation in a room with tiered viewing stands. The museum is very good, but when several tour buses show up at the same time, it is hard to move around. Presentations are in French, with English and other languages available for advance bookings. There is a gift shop filled with souvenirs, books and movies. Outside there are examples of guns and bridge segments. Restroom facilities are available outside of the building and around the corner, with attendant supervision (no tipping).

This is a great Museum if you want to understand the Mulberry Harbour and its importance to the success of the D Day Landings. An outstanding and detailed model of the Harbour is the centre piece, Also informative films and good guides to explain how things worked.
Well worth the fee.
