I came on my Norton with a bunch of blokes last year... then came back with 5 families, all our wives and 9 kids under the age of 7! We took over the whole place, at which everyone discovered the staggering welcome provided by Adrian and Karen- their hospitality is legendary. The kids loved exploring the courtyard, making stuff around the big table, reading the Biggle books, putting on 'shows' in the Bread Oven (you'll find out what this is...) and Karen's teas. Total security for the kids to sleep, play and explore made it a truly relaxing time for the mums, and as for the dads- an endless beer fridge, an encyclopedic library, a massive projector for an evening of Blues Brothers and James Bond and the whole Normandy D-Day experience on the doorstep was boys own stuff. We were fully and superbly catered for on two days and given the run of the kitchen to cook ourselves the other evenings- whilst taking sound advice from Karen on how to stuff aubergines and an awesome Lokschen pudding from leftover kids spaghetti. Having to indulge in pastries, croissants AND a top notch fry up each morning was very, very difficult... for a microsecond. Karen's breakfasts are just fabulous.
There's no better place for a bunch of families to head to France for a few days and relax- it's what the place was made for.
A truly memorable weekend, and a wonderful Easter for all the right reasons.
Adrian and Karen's was alive and buzzing and full of life- it's JUST what the place was built for.
