Stayed here for 4 nights in early September. It was ok. Check in was good. Greeted by a pleasant lady who spoke good English. Our room was on the 1st floor. There are no lifts. The room was small, basic and clean but felt a bit dated. The bathroom looks like its had a recent modernisation so that was good. Bed was comfy, shower was powerful but could get tempremental temperature wise if water was running nearby. No tea/coffee making facilities. Beds/towels changed daily. We had a side view of the sea and as we had the window open at night we heard early morning lorries making deliveries to the various amenities directly surrounding the hotel, as early as 4.30am. Managed to get parked in the small car park at the back of the hotel every day but this was just luck. Be prepared to park in the main car park @ 50c for 15 mins (free between 6pm and 9am) or try and find a space on a side street. We didn't eat once here so can't comment however we were charged €15.80 for 2 pints of Leffe which quite literally took our breath away. This hotel occupies a fabulous spot but I feel they are complacent and it could be truly amazing. It didn't seem to have a personality somehow which was a shame as its a lovely building. We found Arromanches in general very expensive for drink and food. And most of the food we had wasn't all that to be honest. Felt we were taken advantage of as tourists and has much nicer, and more reasonably priced, meals outside of the area but I suppose this is true of most tourist spots. Good base for exploring WW2 sites.

We stopped here for lunch during our day in Arromanches to visit D-day sites.
We had a good lunch with a great serving of grilled sardines, a huge French omelette and the biggest Cafe Gourmande with practically several cake portions each.
We were quite late but service was fast corteous and at a very good price.

It was a rainy day and we were visiting the D-Day sites in Normandy. We selected this site to get out of the weather and have lunch, hoping the weather would clear and it did.
The waiter was polite and helpful. We ordered the soupe de legumes, which was delicious and fish & chips. The soup came with scrumptous hard crusted bread.

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our three week holiday in France. We had a family room which was fairly basic but comfortable enough. It did have a sea view however. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and the food was good and the service was excellent! To sum up it was a pleasant stay which I believe was rather texpensive for the facilities provided, but this was probably because of the excellent location. I would have given a good if there was a "Good" rating on Trip Advisor!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view!

We stopped here while visiting the D-Day sites in Normandy and were very happy with the lunch we ate. We started off with a salad that had the usual lettuce and vegetable mix, but then was topped off with some brie cheese and prosciutto. It was excellent, We ordered chicken breast with mushrooms and wine sauce for our main entree. It came with potatoes and a nice amount of sauce. We had a bottle of wine followed by a small desert of apple strudel. The meal was very good and we enjoyed it.
