End of the day on the highway. We open the coupon book we collected and chose this hotel. No expectation whatsoever. We found the room spacious, comfortable and with all necessary stuff. Though you need stairs to get from the front office to the corridors, you can also reach the room through a back exit in the parking - at same level. We were very satisfied, and the coupon price made it a great value.

Check in was no problem. Room #105. Furnishings include two double beds, with three 3/4 pillows each.Stand between beds with clock. A four drawer checst, 80's television, with about 60 channels. Many channels snowy. The front deck told me that some rooms are being worked on, which may cause the snow. I was offered another room, but since I was staying one night. I declined. Writing table, with two chairs, coffee maker. Floor lamp & two wall lamps. Large mirror over chest & a full length wall mirror.

A tub/shower combo, with two safely handles on inside wall. Two selves on shower side wall. Water for shower 10-12 seconds. Plenty of towels. Hair dryer. Combination of bottled shampoo, hair conditioner & body lotion. Some what limited sink/counter space.

A metal wall rack, with eight wooden hangers. Luggage rack, iron & board. The heater was turned before arrival. Being early December the heat was appreciated. Over all room/bathroom very clean.

This is two floor facility, with stairs leading from the lobby hallway to the first floor, then stairs to the second floor. NO elevator. The lobby has been very updated, while the outside looks dated. Ice, vending & soda machines at end of lower floor. Up stairs have no idea of machines. Also a soda & vending machine at top of stairs from the lobby.

My room had two entrances doors. One leading to the parking lot. My vehicle was no more than five from the outside door. The second door lead tom the hallway THis door was also much appreciated for not going out in the cold morning air.

The tub's faucet 's water pressure is very powerful, however the shower is very gentle to the face & body. The shower head is very high, a short person may have problems reaching to adjust the head.

A Johnny Appleseed restaurant is attached to this facility. A guest will get a 20% discount for breakfast. The restaurant opens at 6:30 AM. A gift shop is between the lobby & restaurant.

All staff members are polite & friendly. There a fitness room open 24 hpurs. Coin operated washer/dryer locatecd on lower floor. The guest room services directory has the television channels listedon page six.

Plenty of parking, front, back & side. Room for any size vehicle. There is separate tractor trailer & camper parking. Also upper decking parking. A guest will be given a map showing the front deskl, gift shop, restaurant, & venting/ice machines & fitness room. The motel's pool is on the north side.

My factors in staying was the location to I-81, Johnny AppleSeed restaurant & reasonable price. I found the bed firm & comfortable. The only drawback was the snowy & grainy channels. However I wsn't here to watch television. I would stay again with no hesitation.

ROOM TIPS. Any room a guest is given, first check out the television recetion before unpacking. IF snowy report it and ask for another room. Also ask for a room on the south side, NO vehicle would be heard off I-81.

Don't let the dated exterior mislead you. The rooms here are reasonably updated, and the bed was quite comfy. The's no conti-breaklfast, instead, theres an OK place connected to the building where you get a discount. They said the wifi was available, but my devices wouldn't connect at all. The overall site shows some signs of wear and tear. If that's no issue to you, I'd recommend this Inn.

Room Tip: Take the second floor so you don't hear neighbours walking around above you.

Nonsmoking room and hallway smelled like cigarette smoke, traffic noise from highway all night (we were on second floor in back), toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned (gray ring stain in bowl), wallpaper peeling, duct tape on well worn carpet, shower head not secured to wall. Overpriced at $103.

We stayed here two nights. The service was excellent and the location was super convenient. The price was reasonable. The room had some issues. There were some bugs dead in the room which was not cool. The wall paper in the room was almost coming off due to moisture. Like others said, this an older property that definitely needs some upgrades. We could deal with it because everything else in the area was sold out for Memorial Day weekend. The people at the front desk were top notch and went above and beyond, even recommending and calling the Exxon station down the street to have one of our cars that had a flat serviced. That level of service is rare even at a five star. We loved the area. The hotel could be improved, no doubt, but we don't have too many complaints.

Great place to stay and good restaurant. My wife and i always stay on our way to and from Maine. The food is good at the onsite restaurant and the gift store has a wide range of gifts. It is also a good spot to stay if you go to Luray Caverns or the Civil War Battlefields

Weekend trip. We go were we want..and after many years of winging it.. Never a weekend like this.. Luray is great we like to rent cabin's. But they were all sold out..all of them..so we check the hotels.. Sold..then the b&b..sold out .tired & hungry finally a room opened up at this quality inn..100$..a night I won't expect much..but this was terrible... The ac..did not work..the toilet was nasty.. The beds were stuffed with something. They looked like View from skyline...?? the fridge did not work.. The remote batteries kept falling out the tape was old and could not hold the cardboard anymore.. At 130am we just went out to the car...we should have gone home but we had tickets for 9am tour..this place wasn't worth 14.00$ stay away..they should be ashamed..and embarrassed. I visit there once a year.. And always rent a cabin... This quality inn was horrific...check in staff was nice.....
