“Still one of the best in France”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

We were a bit disappointed Rebert has discontinued the best lemon tarts we've ever had. They replaced it with a lemon cake that is still good and lemony ... but it's not the same.

The chocolate tarts are still top-notch. We brought back a boxful after our overnight holiday in Wissembourg.

We stop at Rebert anytime we're in the area. The pastries are the about the best we've found anywhere in Alsace or Lorraine.

“Fine French Desserts in Alsace”
Reviewed October 24, 2012

Just across the border between France and Germany lies the pretty town of Wissembourg (which lies on the French side). It is graced by a few pattiseries, but this is the best known, and excellent. It serves light food, as well as desserts and cakes to eat there or to take away. It is a member of "Relais Desserts International" which organistaion eas established in 1981, “Relais Desserts” is an international professional association that brings together about one hundred confectioners represented throughout the world, all hopefuilly united around the same desire to promote High Quality Pastry. This one acchieves its objective.

“Delicious and beautiful pastries at Rebert”
Reviewed September 17, 2012 via mobile

I recently visited Wissembourg with a friend for a day trip to this lovely city, and we made a point of having an afternoon "pick-me-up" at Patisserie Daniel Rebert. The establishment is lovely, service is efficient and friendly, and the selections are amazing. I had a light and flavorful pineapple-coconut pastry, while my friend dined on a delectable, rich chocolate mousse. We were able to enjoy the garden, as it was a picture-perfect sunny afternoon, making for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend this wonderful patisserie to anyone visiting Wissembourg!

“My favourite place for cake”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

I have to go to Wissembourg at least once a month and must have a coffee and a cake. You can see already before you enter the shop what they have on offer. What they offer isn't only beautiful but very tasty too. In summer they do have a cozy garden in the back and everyone is very friendly and helpful.
On the way out we always buy a Guglhupf to eat at home,. It's amazing how fluffy this cake is. Just been today and I am sure I will go there again next month - A bientot Cafe Rebert
