Nice old town it get out and stretch your legs in. Has an "old" feel to architecture and the streets meander around the town. Suspect it could get quite "touristy" during warm summer weekends. Le Clos de Recollects is the place to eat...fancy but no need to "dress up" and the food is excellent.

we had a short walk through the town and it was ok, but not so great as they describe. i think in touristical times it must be very crowded and probably too much

This little medieval village is beautiful and quite unique. Next to the river Ourthe, there is a castle (unfortunately no visits), a town square (ie parking) and dozens of little streets. During summertime, the place is jam-packed with tourists and not really enjoyable. There are some very nice and charming hotels, restaurants and all sorts of little shops. You can find almost everything, even Moroccan lamps...

Best time to visit is outside the touristic season, holidays. Then it is really a very enjoyable place.

Finding a parking space can be a nightmare, plus you'll have to pay for it, even on weekends and holidays. Better is to drive outside the center and park on a free parking, and make a nice walk next to the river...

I went there a few days ago with friends to visit the topiary park. Fortunately we had time to walk around the village. Yes, it is very small (this is why it's famous for), but at the same time very lively and pretty. We sat in a terrace cafe and in front there was the mountain. Very beautiful view. The architecture is also nice. Worth visiting.

Durbuy stresses itself as the smallest city in the world and it does what is says on the tin. Parking is difficult and the food is OK but no more. The walks do not compare well to other areas of the Ardennes
