We were extremely impressed with the overall course conditions and also the great lay-out. An expansive course with beautiful views and conditions helped to set a positive mood for our recent play at this great course. I am from Ontario, Canada and enjoy golfing from Ontario to Florida, to Alabama and points in between. I found this course and area to be great "bang for the buck" and I consider this course and it's value to be top-notch and a must play when in the Williamsburg area. A great destination for all.

We have tried to play here for the last 3 years after our sales meeting in Williamsburg. What a treat! Course has great character and layout. Only issue was one hole on back nine (12 or 13). Starter told us to check it out before teeing off on it. Yardage book did not show a hazard. Pro shop guy was not as friendly as all the other personnel at the course. All in all, this is a true gem that is priced great! We will return. All it needs is a good 19th hole!!! Play here if you are in the area As good as any in the area

If you like to play out of sand traps, this is the place.
I counted 70 sand traps. I probably missed a few.
But this is a beautiful course. It is scenic and challenging. It was a lot of fun and the fee is right.
The only let down is the club house.
It could use some infusion..
But this is a fun course. Well worth it

This course is less than ten years old, and while the greens, fairways, and tee boxes are in good condition, the bunkers are falling apart.
We were playing on a Tuesday, and they had not had any raking for quite a while.
That's not too bad, normally, esp. for a week day round, but there is some kind of fibrous matting under the sand, and it's sticking out of the sand in many places. This not only causes huge problems when you're trying to get out of the bunker, it makes it difficult to rake after you've finished.
They need to direct some of their money into the bunkers.

My son recently played this course. It is a beautiful course that was in excellent condition even though it was mid March. There are very long and hilly distances between holes. You will definitely want a cart. There is not a clubhouse yet. A simple building suffices to pay and get a cart. There is a beautiful vineyard adjacent if you would like a snack or a delicious glass of wine after your round.
