You feel always welcome at Hotel Alpenblick, the owners and personnel are very service minded. Whether you drop in for a beer or dinner, you are always received with big smiles and a nice chat. The view from the restaurant over the city and valley is outstanding, and the garden with pool and "walk therapy" is wonderful

The staff at The Alpenblick Hotel were fantastic. It is a family run Hotel spanning 3 generations of Grandmother, Mother and Son Peter. The rooms were small but very warm and clean with spectacular views over the mountains.
The food was fantastic with a varied choice at Dinner and a buffet style breakfast.
Peter, the son was very helpful and entertaining!! His English is excellent and he has a great sense of humour.
There is a lovely thermal heated pool outside and a Sauna and games room inside. The games room has a ping pong table , pool table and table football and Peter loves to join in!!!
There is a bus service down to the slopes that runs throughout the day and is free with your Lift pass.
There is a wide range of Ski slopes for all abilities, Graukogel being the nearest and smallest area.
The only criticism is that there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms. So you have to go down to the Dining room for this at meal times.
It was my daughters birthday while we were there and the Hotel decorated our table in the Dining room and made a birthday cake for her.
I would highly recommend this Hotel.

I have been visiting this hotel for the past 7 years. Every year I stay here with my family for one week, usually during the ski-season.
It is a lovely, family hotel, where I have felt at home the minute I stepped in. Overlooking the Gastein valley, It has been run for many years by one family and you can feel & see the dedication.
There is a spa space, a swimming pool with a beautiful view, neat bedrooms en good food. Nothing is over the top and yet you feel pampered (that is, I do :-)). The hotel owners and the staf care about the environment, everything they use is as much as possible harmless to the environment. The food is Austrian, nothing fancy, but so tasteful and made with care.
The only thing that I find a bit annoying is that the Wi-Fi is not availbale in all the rooms. They do it on purpose (it makes sense :-), you'll hear it yourself haha) but in our society to be deprived of wi-fi is a bit unusual. In any case, this would never stop me from coming back to this wonderful place!

Dear Elvira, thank you very much ! It is always a great pleasure welcoming you in Alpenblick.
Actually, some Wi-Fi should work in the meanwhile in all rooms. You will test it next time.

Three generation of Hirsch's run the Alpenblick, which has been in the family for many years. They take great care of their guests, and the owner,Elizabeth is always ready with good advice. The hotel is on the upper edge of the town and is beside the Graukogel skilifts which serves a small ski area which has excellent red and black runs, which lead to across the road from the hotel..This is a well maintained clean property where the swimming pool and 'wellness' area are spotless. It also has a and Games room with pool, table tennis, and mini-football.The buffet breakfast has a great choice, and is served by an excellent coffee machine.Dinners are very good with a full table service. You choose from a menu the night before,so what you get is cooked for you.I entirely endorse the reviews given by D8931BSkalew and stevencanning.

Room tip: Many rooms face down the valley and have an excellent view.

Hotel, room and spa is very o.k. The weakest point, space for improvement, is the kitchen (restaurant). Its offer is very poor, full of monotony. Every dish I at was without any taste. The restaurant for sure is no 4* quality.
