“Most beautiful hotel and location. Not for those who don't enjoy many many small children on holidays.”

What a wonderful hotel in a most beautiful location. Great hospitality and food. We were caught by surprise at the many many small children at the hotel (which we understand to be fairly typical) and given the open nature of the hotels living and dinning rooms there is no where to escape for quite time without crying babies and manic parents. So whilst this hotel is a wonderful experience it is probably not right for couples looking for a quite romantic time.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the "traditional" (un renovated) rooms

This hotel come with high recommends however it was less than pleasant because of many many small children and parents. Not a hotel for couple or romantic getaway. Many parents who take the haus as their own.

Room Tip: Make sure you request a larger renovated room away from families with young child

Friends had recommended this hotel to us and we were not disappointed. From our warm welcome with a glass of prosecco to our final cup of coffee on the sun terrace, we had a lovely time. The hotel looks a fairly traditional chalet style from outside but inside there were so many modern, quirky and pleasing design touches, that really I just wanted to study it in detail the whole time we were there. Hospitality was a strong point at this hotel and the owners take great care to ensure that all the guests feel welcome. Breakfast and lunch were buffet style and delicious with an enormous amount of choice and dinner was slightly more formal. The views from the dining room are outstanding and all the pretty candles and fairy lights enhanced this. Our bedroom and bathroom were all white and when I woke up, with a cloud covering the valley below, I felt as though I was on a cloud. Everything in our room and bathroom was clean but the washbasin had rather a large crack which should be remedied. Nice Aveda toiletries. This did not detract from our visit as everything else was so lovely that I was prepared to overlook it. The swimming pool is fairly small and looks out onto a big sun terrace. I was sorry to leave this hotel and hope to come back.

I have just returned from a four day break at Hirt Haus with three of my girlfriends. The hotel is wonderful in every respect; the rooms have fantastic views of the Alps, the spa is fabulous and the food is very tasty. The fact that the breakfast is served till midday and lunch from one to five, gives a lot of flexibility. There are wonderful walks around the hotel and the hotel also organizes half day excursions into the mountains. The spa is fantastic and the treatments wonderful (please try Roman for a massage!). The owners and the whole team of staff are extremely helpful. It was a perfect break.

We recently stayed at Haus HIrt for two nights in the double room with a valley view. We couldn't have picked a better hotel or room in Bad Gastein. Evelyn and her lovely staff were attentive to our needs and accommodated my wife's dietary preferences. The room was spacious, stylishly decorated, and had a wonderful view of the Gastein valley (too bad the weather was not as cooperative!). The bed and all of the furniture in the room was very, very comfortable. The food, from the sumptuous breakfast buffet, to the amazing four course dinners, was exquisitely prepared, health conscious, and from what I understand, was mostly locally grown or organic. They can supply you with any information you need for hikes in the area. Bad Gastein is only an hour's drive away from Salzburg or the Salzkammergut, and Haus Hirt is a great base from which to explore this beautiful region.

Room Tip: ask for room 52, the double room with valley view.

We have returned from our second stay at Haus Hirt... we travelled with our 2 young children and extended family. Evelyn and her team provide a very personal level of service to all their guests, whether they are skiers or none skiers. What I like about the hotel is that it is a small and very chic hotel but it trully makes kids feel welcome and provides many activites for them in a safe environment. A big thank you to Evelyn and her team....

After an exhausting business trip to Germany and France, I met up with my partner in Austria and spent 4 days at Haus Hirt. The Hotel came highly recommended by friends from back home and still, our expectations were far exceeded.
It's a beautiful Boutique Hotel with great attention to detail, set in the most wonderful surroundings - it all looked like out of a picture book. The atmosphere was fantastic with a very interesting clientele and extremely attentive staff.
We loved our room - very trendy yet charming - with a view to die for; the food was fantastic and the spa treatments amongst the finest I have had.
Although short, this was one of our most relaxing holidays. We willl most definitely be back - but it will have to be for at least a week!
