“top place in the city!”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

the quality of service there is amazing. waiters are always there, they "read your mind", super professional, make the whole experience. the hotel is huge, but everything is easily accessible from two restaurants and a hotel bar to ski storage and toilets, all situated so that you can reach them immediately. the sauna and pool area is there and I used it. the pool is small, so don't think about swimming, rather about floating among screaming children. sauna is available for nudes only, many rooms with many types of sauna, nice experience if you happen to be in there with people who are in shape. I did not go to the spa area, but it is quite popular as far as I reckoned passing by.

Room Tip: don't count your money, just go there!

From the rooms to breakfast and facilities everything in this hotel was excellent! A counrtyside hotel, with a great view to Austrian mountains. They have even champagne for breakfast!!!
During your stay you can find anything you need. Form sauna and thermal swimming pool to your personal gymnast even more proposals to spend your day.
The rooms are spacious and the stuff very friendly. It's a little far from the Bad Gastein or Bad Hofgatsein (it's in the middle) but there is a bus station just outside the hotel.
If you need a relaxing escape I surely recommend you this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have great view to the mountains

The hotel is five star and it's n a good location. There is a mini bus that you can use to get to the train station. It is a luxurious hotel with big and comfortable rooms. Our room was tidy and was cleaned every day. The only bad thing was the smeel coming from the manure that farmers use in the area. When you open the window the room gets filled with this horrible smell!
The breakfast room is spacious enough but you cannot find a continental breakfast. All the dishes are based on german flavours. The staff was polite and helpful. The area is very picturesque and beautiful. I would definitely recommend it!

Everything was perfect, really good price the food was really over what we had expect. much variation! Really goodn service, desserts on the room, shuffel busses that picked us up and drove us to the hills. Nice spa, pool and shover facilities. The only thing we could think of was that the madresses was a liiiittle bit hard.
I recommend to take atleast halfpension if not all inclusive so you get to choose free from the really god menu and dinner buffes! A nice plus was the Cava to the breakfast for free so you could have a couple of nice mimosas before hittin the slopes :)

Going back this time for sure!

At times it can be a bit of a challenge trying to gauge whether a hotel or B&B is right for you and your family or group you may be traveling with, especially in Europe. The Europaeischer Hof was much more than we expected after reading reviews and visiting their website. Their customer service and attentiveness was exceptional. We were pleased with every detail throughout our stay. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned and turned-over in the evening. My wife loved the chocolate left on her pillow each evening! We ate in their restaurant two evenings and were very pleased with our meals. We selected to have breakfast included with our rooms and have to say their European breakfast is one of the better selections we've had throughout our travels in Europe.

The hotel is located in the valley and it's a quick drive or beautiful walk to Bad Gastein's city centre. A hotel shuttle is available for free transportation to Bad Gastein's city centre and Bad Gastein's ski lift is in the middle of town.

Most of all, we'll remember this hotel for their customer service(friendliness), views, and delicious breakfast.

I was also in the group of 11 that stayed here the last week of January and cannot find a single fault with the whole experience . The hotel pool and spa were awesome as were the breakfasts and bar area. I had no problem with either of the ( complimentary ) bus drivers and in fact had a laugh with them on most occasions! If I had too find a fault it would only be the clientele (room 106/7 ) had that annoying chap from Coronation Street (Norris)with the corner shop staying in it and he kept on annoying everybody all week !!!!

Used this as a base for skiing trip with a large group of eleven.

Hotel is fine, but well way from the slopes and town centre so be prepared for plenty of taxis. There is a minibus service that runs from hotel to Bad Gastein or Bad Hofgastein but you'd be hard pressed to find two more grumpy and unhelpful drivers if you tried.

We booked for five people one time, with a ticket in our hands, but when we turned up it was full of the driver's family or friends as we could only get two of us on and we then had to listen to him shouting and cursing in German all the way, like it was our fault!

Hotel itself is fine, clean and breakfast is nice. Bar area is also good with a nice open fire and the rest of the staff are all very polite.
