Lovely view over Badgastein, close to the centre and the waterfall and the Stubnerkogel. Good food and Friendly staff. No kids menu but the staff helped us. Spa facilities were great. Clean room. We had no complaints.

Took three rooms here for a skiing break with the family. Good points are rooms better than expected, chef and food some of the best we have ever had and that includes 5 star hotels. What few staff there were were friendly and helpful. Bad points, the Hotel has no facilities at all, everything is across the road in the sister Hotel salsberghof, a very confusing rabbit warren of a Hotel, the post Hotel has no lounge area, no permanent reception staff, not even a toilet in the reception area. It really is an annex to the main hotel. The town of Bad Gastein has NO centre or Main Street so to speak, there are very few places to sit outside and watch life go by, very few shops as well. This means, for us, everything relaxing reverted back to the Hotel, which had nothing of its own. Overall nice boutique hotel that does half board. Not far from the Main Street but beware the slope up there is literally 60 degrees. We had an ok time but won’t go back.

Dear Mrs. or Mr. Bradoing,

thank you for your comment on Tripadvisor. It is good to hear, that you was satisfied with the meal as well our friendly staff.
We are sorry, that you do not enjoyed the center of Bad Gastein. We work together with the Tourism Association of Bad Gastein that we get more shops open, more animation in the center and i promise you, we will manage it soon.

However we hope, that we can welcome you again.

Kind regards
Olaf von der Wettern
General Manager

This cozy hotel exceeded our expectations by a mile!
We had the Bellini Suite under the roof: lovely, cozy and very spacious, even a small terrace with a view over the valley. Breakfast was ample and tasty and so was the 5 course dinner every evening - fabulous!
Hotel Post is behind the famous Salzburger Hof and we were able to use the wellness area and other facilities of this other splendid hotel (they belong to the same owner).
We highly recommend this central hotel and the half board arrangement - we would stay again next year!

Room tip: If available, do book the Bellini Suite

Comfortable, but quite small rooms, Serviceminded staff. Clean and proper. Food was well tasting even though the variety was not large, breakfast buffet good. Rooms quite well isolated and quite. Modern hotel with nice design.

Great location right outside silver bullet nightclub. No noice issue even if our window was facing the bar. The bathrooms are cleansed detailed daily and the rooms are a good size and nicely decorated with lots of storage. Free wifi. Beds are on the firm side, but no problem. Good hair dryer in room. Good breakfast, but it opens too late in the morning in my taste (7:30). Including access to swimming pool and bobble bath. Dinner is not good! Well, the food is good but not the service. They are open until 9:30, but kitchen closes at 9, and they swipe clean everything and are waiting and pasting for you to leave. Our waiter was already in her coat with we purse at the door when we left (9:31) we had 4 rooms and where 8 people in ages between 23-54
