We stayed for a week in a deluxe room at Salzburgerhof. The spacious room was on the 4th floor of the side building with a balcony & very nice view over Bad Gastein and the mountains. The bathroom was also very spacious and had a separate shower and a big bathtub. Cannot really find anything negative to say about the room. Maybe the hanging storage space and the safe could have been a little bigger.

The hotel itself is a bit rambling. The reception is on the 7th floor of the main building and the restaurant on the 5th floor. The only access between the main and the side building was through a bridge on the 7th floor. Since our room was on the 4th floor of the side building, to reach the restaurant we had to first take the elevator up to the 7th floor, then cross the bridge and then take the elevator down to the 5th floor. This sometimes took a while since the elevators were busy.

The hotel had 2 spa areas. The one on the main building’s 6th floor had a pool, a jacuzzi with a view of the mountains and separate Finnish saunas for women and men. The side building had also a spa on the second floor with 2 steam rooms, a small pool and 2 saunas. This spa are had also a relaxation room and a gym. We enjoyed this spa area of the side building very much since it was less crowded and the steam rooms were very good. Sometimes in the afternoon we were the only 2 people using this spa area.

We had half board which included 5 course dinner every night. The dinner included a salad bar, a soup, main course (meat, fish or vegetarian), cheese buffet and a dessert. The hotel recommended every night a white and a red wine to accompany the dinner. Most recommendations were Austrian wines and we enjoyed them very much and we did not find them expensive at all.

The service all around the hotel was first class and the reception personnel was very helpful. The hotel had a little shop by the reception area where you could buy drinks and small snacks to bring into your room. They also rented walking sticks for a very reasonable price so no need to bring your own.

We were at this hotel on in summer. Hotel is well located on a steep hillside. Alps were around, very easy to go hiking. Hotel itself was quite nice, there were many activies inside like sauna, gym, little spa... Hotel staff were friendly. And we enjoyed especially five course dinners in the evenings.

If you stay at this hotel, make sure you have dinner in the hotel's restaurant! An amazing five-course dinner is served daily, with a large charcuterie and salad buffe, followed by soup and a main course (fish, meat or veg), then a nice cheese buffet and dessert! The dining rooms are very fancy, with a view over the mountains and lots of chandeliers. Truly a fantastic experience to dine here

Went her for a ski week and go a nice fresh but small room with a view.
Staff was ok and only that and the place was nice. But a bit arrogant and small cocky attitude staff tied destroy the dinner experience.
Nice view he ski was bright and solid breakfast.
Skiing in this area was too easy for me and also got boring, but we had snow and also hot springs and place to eat outside hotel.
Transfers to the return flight took time and was stressful due to old buses and small bad roads.
Will not return
Many better places close by

This is my third stay at Salzburger Hof and I will definetly go back. Slopes and offpiste is great.

I have been several trips to the alps each season the last ten years, an this hotel is one of the best.

The food, the atmosphere and the lovely spa area is great.

Make sure you check out the Hoffkeller and so some offpisre skiing with Robert at Freeride Gastein
