Part of me doesn't want to write this review because I don't want to worry about not being able to book a future room, it was that good!

Location: Not right on the tourist strip with all the commotion and noise but an easy walk to central park and sights. Also a nice walk to Lake Nicaragua. If you want to be on top of the action this might not be the place for you. If you want convenience to the action but a quiet retreat, this is it.

Decor/ambiance: Stunning. Impeccably clean and the decor was beautiful- think spa/zen/tropics.

Hosts: We met Eloise the manager and Steven the cook, both very friendly and fun to talk with. Very accommodating. Our flight home left super early and Eloise made sure we had breakfast to take with us.

Room: We stayed in one of their suites and it was nice. If I had to complain about anything it would be that in our suite there was no door separating the bathroom from the main room. You couldn't see in from the bed, but you could hear everything. Eloise offered to let us stay in another room but we declined. A/C worked great. Shower with rainfall head was awesome.

Yoga: I unfortunately missed out on this. The yoga area is gorgeous. It is offered in the morning and there also appeared to be an evening class as well.

Food: Breakfast was included with the accommodation and was delicious. It was obvious that the cook/manager are health conscious and want to use the freshest and most natural ingredients. My banana cacao smoothie was yummy! We also had the hummus/Mediterranean tapa at the bar which was very good as well.

Before I checked out I'd already decided that I would come back here. Highly recommend.

Dear Guests,
Thank you for your review and for the time you took to give us feedback on each part of your experience. We are thrilled you enjoyed our quiet, retreat environment. This is the center of everything we do here and it is wonderful to know it was appreciated by you both.
Thank you for also being so complimentary about our chef and his cuisine. Healthy food is something we are all passionate about and we work very hard to ensure there are always healthy, low fat, vegan and dairy free options available.
For the Heliconia Suite we will advise guests about the open plan bathroom as some may wish to have more privacy. As you mentioned this is part of the unique style of the room but we also have other options available. I hope we will see you again soon and you will spend more vacations with us, send your friends, family and loved ones our way and we will take good care of them.
Warm Regards,
Eloisa & Arantxa

To miss this hotel, would be to miss a gem of Granada. Clean, friendly, safe, quiet, charming, great pool to hang around during the afternoon hot hours....we cannot say enough about how much we liked all of it. We stayed three days, went away and then returned for another 3. Elouisa organized tours and drivers to take us around, made excellent recommendations so that we really got to know this beautiful city. Our best meals were here: Steven is a great chef! Yoga classes twice a day, bar opens at 2pm. We would return in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: All the rooms look great...we took one of the larger ones on the top floor where we had a corner bre...

I was traveling with a group of people and we stopped in Granada for a couple days. We were staying in another hotel but discovered Casa Lucia as we were walking around one night looking for a nice place to relax and grab drinks. We hit the jackpot! We ended up spending a couple hours there. The atmosphere was so inviting. The drinks were great. The owners were so hospitable, friendly, and so great to talk to. We ended up going back every night (3 nights in a row). If I get a chance to go back to Granada for a vacation, I would definitely check out the rest of the things they offer: yoga and at least one night in their hotel.

We stayed three nights in Casa Lucia. It a must if visiting in Granada. The rooms are very spacious and are in immaculate conditions. It has the rustic feel although with all of your modern amenities. The gardens are well groomed and all of the staff were friendly and accommodating. They will organize tours for you and arrange pick up from the airport if required - be prepared to pay $40- $45 for the service. Taxis are generally expensive in Nicaragua but this is not necessarily dictated by hotel owners.
Casa Lucia is a short walk from the city center where you will find all of your restaurants and evening activities.
There is a complementary breakfast each morning prepared by Steve the chef!! After breakfast feel free to take part in a yoga class in a tranquil setting aside the pool area.
We stayed as a group of four and have nothing but good things to say about our visit. If again in Granada, this will surely be our first choice as a place to rest our heads!
Well done!
Will post photos soon!

I cannot express enough how wonderful our experience at Casa Lucia was. Our room was huge and the complimentary breakfast was outstanding. The owners were very friendly and helpful, they arranged transportation for us, tours, and gave excellent dining recommendations. The complimentary yoga classes in the morning were great for practitioners of all levels. We extended our stay from one night to five nights because we loved the hotel so much! Because the hotel just opened 4 months ago it's not in any published guide yet; and we felt like we had found a hidden gem in Granada. I can't wait to return to Nicaragua and stay at Casa Lucia again!!!

My cousin and I planned to stay at Casa Lucia for one night and ended up extending it to six. The room was beautiful and so was the pool area. The restaurant/bar had great food, and the included morning breakfast was a real highlight of our stay. The morning yoga instructor was tremendous, and it was great that the classes were included in the price. The most impressive part of our stay, however, were the tremendously helpful owners and staff. They organized our ride to and from the hotel, gave us ideas on good places to eat in town, and really just went above and beyond to make sure we didn't just enjoy our stay at their hotel but also that our whole vacation went smoothly and pleasantly.
