Description: Modern environment in a neoclassical property constructed in 1886. We've forged a relationship with Nicaragua's best coffee producers to provide you with an excellent cup. High altitude, shade grown boutique crops yield coffees with a crisp and balanced acidity, roundness, sweetness and rich chocolate-like brews. These farmers know what they do. The poetry is ever intended at Espressonista. On your table we serve local, slightly smoked ham. The brie, the camembert and manchego are also from Masatepe and Matagalpa. Organic lettuce, baby asparagus and other greens from Ticuantepe. Chez nous, we know where everything comes from. We bake our own pastries and breads, make our own ice creams, brew our own beer. We love food, drink and good company. Join us!

“Worth the walk ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2014 via mobile

Espressionista was recommended to us by a fellow traveler . It's located a good 10-15 min walk from the park central but it's worth the walk. Our dinner wine and dessert were outstanding. We liked it so much we walked all the way back one day just for coffee. The service is great . It's a little spendy for Granada but I was so taken with the food etc that I happily paid . A must do for any foodie or coffee connoisseur.

“Really nice coffee and good food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2014

Espressonista is a small coffee shop near parc Xalteva and Iglesia Xalteva. It is definitely worth a visit! The food is prepared in an open kitchen and all the sources used are fresh and organic. I have seen a couple of coffee places in Granada but Espressonista has definitely the best coffee.

“Best Ajo Blanco ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2014 via mobile

Okay, so the prices are a little expensive for Nicaragua BUT I would rather have quality than cheap and mediocre and quality is what you will get here all artfully presented. The soup was fabulous prepared with watermelon which is in season now. My companion had a sandwich loaded with cheese, fresh avocado, tomatoes, lettuce and salami. I had a bite and loved it. The beers were nice and cold. The one I had was infused with guava. Delicious. I think one could create a beer sangria with it. Great addition to Granada. Wish I had discovered it sooner. Yes, a slight hike from the center but an interesting one past 2 churches. Will be back next year.
