Description: Modern environment in a neoclassical property constructed in 1886. We've forged a relationship with Nicaragua's best coffee producers to provide you with an excellent cup. High altitude, shade grown boutique crops yield coffees with a crisp and balanced acidity, roundness, sweetness and rich chocolate-like brews. These farmers know what they do. The poetry is ever intended at Espressonista. On your table we serve local, slightly smoked ham. The brie, the camembert and manchego are also from Masatepe and Matagalpa. Organic lettuce, baby asparagus and other greens from Ticuantepe. Chez nous, we know where everything comes from. We bake our own pastries and breads, make our own ice creams, brew our own beer. We love food, drink and good company. Join us!

“Worth the walk from City Center”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We stumbled upon this place over by Xalteva Church and it is now our favorite spot in Granada. The owners are extremely nice and the food has been the highest quality we have found in Granada (And we have eaten everywhere over the last two months). If you come once I guarantee you will come again because you will not get the same high quality ingredients and creativity in food anywhere else. They also have great coffee and desserts. Look for the Adirondack chairs out front, and note that they are closed Monday and Tuesday.

“This is the place for coffee.”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

Looking for the best coffee in Granada? This new place is where to go. Across (South) of Xalteva Church, it's a bit of a walk but that just means it's quiet and away from the hustle and bustle.

Their pastries and lunch items were also tasty.

“So chic!”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

Ahhhh... can't express how charmed we were when we found Espressonista, in a lovely, airy Colonial building remade into a super-cool spot for coffee, tea and small bites. So many ways in which this place is wonderful: great coffee, a chic boutique, handsome hosts. We loved it so much we came back for a glass of wine in the evening and found it to be romantic, convival for conversation and a great place to relax at the end of a hot day. Still dreaming about it!

“So chic! And best coffee in Granada!”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

We were lucky enough to wander into Espressonista as it was opening in February. So beautiful on so many levels: gorgeous re-imaging of a Colonial-style building; a delicious selection of coffee and teas and small plates; charming owners. We hadn't found anyplace quite like it so we returned for a glass of wine in the evening and it was lovelier still -- a thoughtful selection of wines, a little cheese and charcuterie, some herbed biscuits. Felt like a little boite in Paris. I still dream of it!

“Super cool friendly place for great coffees and/or a bite to eat”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

We wandered down calle real xalteva (across from the xalteva cathedral) into this newly opened coffee/lunch/dinner and boutique while on a recent trip to Granada, enticed by the thought of a nice iced coffee on an ultra hot day. Ended up with a delicious frappuccino (made with award winning Nicaragua coffee beans) and a new friendship! The shop is owned by andres, who despite being Nicaraguan, speaks perfect, unaccented English. Zoltan makes delicious breads And Stefan makes the homemade desserts. There are several lunch choices each and dinner is possible' if you order ahead. During our visits there we had delicious homemade Thai red curry soup and a mango shrimp vermicelli salad. Oh yes,and delicious bread and homemade nispero sorbet. Can't beat that. All in all, and a super nice bunch of guys who work wonders in the kitchen
Definitely worth a visit

it's a win-win situation.
We feel so lucky to be continually visited by kind-hearted and interesting people.
Through in food and wine to the mix and the result is nothing short of marvellous.
