The view from the tower is splendid, but graffiti along the staircases is disgusting. It should be cleaned up.

My husband and I walked from our hotel, Hotel Colonial to the church and paid only $1 each to have a view from the top of the church. The view was spectacular, being able to see the entire city. The stairs are very narrow and spiral leading up to the top, so if you're overweight/obese or scared of heights, you should likely avoid visiting this site.

Granada, Nicaragua offers so much to see. It truly is a place to discover some Nicaraguan history. It is becoming more filled with tourists and so I long for the time when the park wasn't so busy and the avenue was not filled with tourist attractions. Still, I recommend that you visit. Casa San Francisco is a little boutique hotel run by two retired Peace Corps sisters. Check it out.

This church deserves a look as well. The star of the show is the bell tower you can climb to for commanding views. The fee is 25 cords. From the perch you can see into some nearby courtyards, as they were once common features of the city's remaining colonial buildings. This is a must.

Great views from the rooftop, especially at sunset it`s wonderful. Somewhat expensive though to climb up.
