“Couldn't really be this slow!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2013

We’d been in Nicaragua almost a week when we ate here and were used to waiting for what we would normally consider to be a long time for our food, but something had to have happened to our order here, as it had to have been a good half-hour before we got a simple quesadilla and a burrito. Fortunately, we were not in a hurry, and the food was worth the wait. The prices were more what we would expect to pay in the US ($3 for water, $6 for veggie quesadilla, and $8 for burrito). Not a restaurant we would go out of our way for, because of the price, but it was there and we were hungry.

Had a the barrito pollo a couple of beers, my friend had a chicken sandwich and sprite less than $8 can't complain one beer back home would cost that! I enjoyed the food and the people watching. Again it is what it is

“Nothing special”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2013

I understand where the guy in the previous review is coming from. It's a little place located just off the main plaza near some of the main sites, so convenient (plus). Seats are mainly outside under the veranda which provides great people watching opportunities of both tourists and Nicas (plus). I had veg burritos one lunchtime. Food portions were small and though not outstanding, they were tasty (neutral). Service was slightly inattentive (minus).

There are definitely lots of other places nearby that will provide better food, service and value.

“Skip it... Cant tell if it was a scam or a real place to eat.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2012

So my girlfriend and I were looking for a place to eat early one morning in Granada. We saw this place open next to the main plaza and thought it looked like a nice place to grab a bite to eat. What we got was much less than that. I ordered gallo pinto with eggs and my girlfriend ordered pancakes. We also got two coffees. These are NOT hard dishes to makes but what we got was instant coffees which tasted like water with dirt thrown in them, two pancakes that tasted like cardboard, and two eggs that were ok with undercooked rice with beans. What really made us mad was that they charged me a lot for my meal and over $4.00 for the pancakes. This was not a meal with two pancakes but really just two pancakes. Thats $2 per pancake that were the size of a fist. If you walk two mins down the road $4 can get you an all you can eat breakfast at a hotel. This seemed like a place that just over charges for ultra bad food and lives off the fact that they are just next to the main plaza. Our best guess is that they are a scam that live off of tourists. Stay away!
