This museum is a gem. The pieces are well laid out and labelled, the guide was enthusiastic. Apart from the cultural insights it was particularly interesting to see in some of the ancient pottery links with modern-day pottery you see for sale everywhere in Granada. It's right next door to the Choco museum (also recommended - we had breakfast there before visiting the museum)

This small but lovely museum has a terrific collection of pre-columbian artifacts nicely laid out. It takes about 20 minutes to walk around - and you can stay longer and enjoy the beautiful courtyard. It's free - but make a donation to support the facility as it's a gem. It's right next to the Choco Museum - so go there afterward to delicious chocolate drinks, etc. and - if you can- take the chocolate making workshop (so much fun).

And ended up learning a lot. Had a really nice, informative, and truthful guide. The building and property are amazing as well as its history. The man who owns the place has done something quite incredible. Go in. Its cool.

Neat artifacts from a culture you don't hear much about. The staff was super friendly. However, I dunno if they've moved it but its right next to the chocolate museum. Not down by the market.

We were entertained by some local dancers and musicians. It is a nice little museum. We visited as part of a day long tour of the area. I don't know if I would have sought this place out on my own. It was interesting and gave us a break from all of the children that kept following out group begging for money.
