We mostly had the breakfast here, about four times, and it was never anything special. By the time it was delivered to us, it was cold. If we had time, we would have done the chocolate tour, which may have brightened our picture of the ChocoMuseo, but that wasn't in the cards.

We ate the excellent buffet breakfast at the hotel and then took the two hour chocolate making class. Is mail, the in structor asked if we wanted the course in Spanish or English. We learned chocolate from farm to table and had many laughs. Not for toddlers but all from 6 to 99 would enjoy. Gift shop had tees and tanks, chocolate bars, chocolate almond butter, cocoa butter, pottery, cocoa beans, and much more. Wandered the hotel admiring the funky furniture and beautiful art while waiting for class to start. Beautiful pool and spa services onsite. Have the fruit and chocolate crepes or an omelet with your fritos rijoles and cheese. Go next door and see the world class pottery museum. Plan a full day here or even two. A day tour of the cacoa plantation is also offered but I only took the class.

We went here on my wifes birthday expecting a quick lesson on how to make chocolate....how wrong we were! Within a few minutes we were roasting beans, singing songs and really getting stuck in.
Ishmail the guy that took the class has one of those personalities that just makes you want to join in,he was great and we learned so much as did our kid.
2 weeks later we are still singing the songs and talking about this place....great time!

I visited this hotel/museum 1 year ago and wrote an honest review. The manager left a scathing response about how untrue my review was. So I visited again over last summer, and last week and it still is terrible and indifferent service -- I recommend you skip this place --

We took the chocolate "bean to bar" class here and it was definitely a highlight of our trip! The instructor was hilarious and very helpful! Learned a lot about the history of chocolate too. A must do for all chocolate lovers.
