“Chocolate making class”

Very informative, enthusiastic and happy teacher. Walk out with 2 bags of great chocolate which you make yourself - $19 may be a little too expensive but no regrets.

“What a scam!!”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

We walked in there & were "assailed" by someone speaking at the speed of light trying to sell us a 19$/person, 2h Chocolate making "course"... Then someone made us taste some really delicious chocolate saying it was cashews in it when it was obvious it was almond slices??... We decided to splurge & buy 2 cashew/chocolate bars at $5us each & when we got home the chocolate taste like the cheap easter bunny chocolate you buy in pharmacies & groceries around easter! NOT AT ALL TE SAME AS WHAT WE TASTED!! Don't spend your cash there, not worth it! Very disapointing...

I certainly understand as the owner of various businesses that one should adopt the philosophy that the customer is always right, but in your case, I find that impossible, not only because your opinions and criticisms are so bizarre, but your facts are also wrong. The museum is free, and has exhibits on the history, nature, and fabrication of chocolate. You seem to have missed that completely. Just about everyone really enjoys our chocolate workshop (see the reviews!). The dark chocolate bars are $3.75, the milk chocolate bars are $4.25; none are $5 as you incorrectly assert. The samples are made from exactly the same bars we sell. A staff member confused cashews and almonds - a great sin in your eyes? And please make no mistake - we make all our chocolate on site from bean to bar, and the beans are carefully selected organic cacao beans from the best cacao growing area in Nicragua.

Took a quick tour of their chocolate museum. Very friendly staff who let us sample the chocolate and rum--it was very good. Purchased some coffee, chocolate, and rum here.

“Nice enough for a quick stop”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

While the museo does have some interesting and informative displays about chocolate, and some tasty free samples, there is a pretty strong sales push since it's mostly a store and cafe. (A cafe with really good hot chocolate!)

“Chocolate making class was fun and different”
Reviewed January 28, 2013 via mobile

Attended the chocolate making class and found it well worth the $19 price tag. Over two hours of chocolate history, trying various chocolate beverages, roasting cacao beans, making chocolate butter and enjoying myself the whole while. The instructor was enthusiastic and his personality was infectious. The chocolate is top notch!
