“The Best in Granada - We Had an Outstanding Time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2012

Our family spent a week in Nicaragua and at Miss Margrit's in June 2012. Miss Margrit's Guest House is a great place to stay whether you are an individual, couple or family. Chris will quickly make you feel right at home at Miss Margrit's and in Granada. The made to order breakfast is also a real plus. It is no wonder that Miss Margrit's has received the Best B&B from TripAdvisor for two years straight. As a family we felt very safe and welcomed by the people in Granada and would love to return.
If you want a great place from which to see the beauty of Granada and the rest of Nicaragua make Miss Margrit's your first stop. We certainly hope to see Chris and Nicaragua again!

My husband and I had the pleasure of exploring Granada in September 2011, using Miss Magrit's as our home base. This is a beautiful B&B, with incredibly fun and gracious hosts. The house has been exquisitely restored, the rooms are spacious and well appointed, and the food is great. We're returning to Miss Margrit's this week and can't wait!

Beautiful rooms, awesome swimming pool and most importantly the best service you could ask for!! Chris, the owner/manager and now best friend, was more than welcoming, pleased our every need and was even a great tour guide around Granada, which could be slightly confusing if you've never walked their streets before. We live in Leon and we will surely be back to visit Miss Margrit's often!!! I'd have to agree with below posts that I felt like I was living in a mansion. Lola the dog and the 2 kitty cats certainly made us feel at home. Wish we were still there! Thanks, Chris (Lucy, Molly & JD!!!)!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: There's no wrong choice. We saw all of the rooms and of course chose the matrimonial. The beds a...

We recently stayed at Miss Margrit's at the beginning of our trip to Nicaragua as well as the tail end. This is a great base for seeing everything that Granada has to offer. Quick walk (5 minutes tops) to the central plaza and the market. The proprietor, Chris, did an excellent job with making us feel at home and the property exceed expectations formed by pictures and prior reviews. Great breakfast and overall feel.

Very friendly and helpful proprietor who can arrange whatever day trips you might want. Lovely home with beautiful atrium and pool, flora and well-mannered fauna (house dog, kitty, 2 turtles, and a visiting hummingbird). Clean, spacious room with hot water. Yummy breakfast. Pretty good location; I'd say less than 10 minutes to walk to the Caldeza. We had a great stay and would visit again.

Recently I spent sometime staying at Miss Margrit's over the past month, using it as a base where i then visited other parts of the country. i felt at home immediately when the Lovely Lucy greeted me with a wonderful smile and a glass of fresh made natural fruit juice. Lola the dog and both cats are happy to see you everytime you come "home". Molly helped me with directions, and whenever i came home from elsewhere, they warmly greeted me and genuinely missed me as much as i missed them. Every guest is made to feel at home, and always invited to join in whatever happens to be happenning. For instance, no weekend is complete without Fritanga Friday! Lucy and Molly are supurb hosts in that they are relaxed and easy going, but effecient and welcoming. One cannot feel out of place there. I miss it still! There is a reason why it is number one on Trip Advisor, because it is the BEST! thanks to everyone there, Veronica and her herocic omelets, and Lucy and Molly who are subbing in for Chris, the Proprietor, who obviously is a real treat, funny and engaging, and always eager to make sure you are having a nice stay. Andy the driver picked me up numerous times at the airport and was always punctual and happy to see me! i feel like family. xoxo Zan

We spent two nights at Miss Margrit's and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately we did not get to meet Chris but his friends, Molly and Lucy who were filling in for him while he was in the UK were wonderful, warm and friendly hostesses. At our request they booked us an amazing tour through Las Isletas to a beautiful cacoa farm where we got to horseback ride and swim in a thermal pond.

We enjoyed El Gordo and Chicken (their two darling cats) and Lola (sorry if I got her name wrong) their cute and funny dog as well as the beautifully landscaped courtyard and nicely decorated rooms. The room we stayed in was large, clean and comfortable and the girls did an incredible job with the beautiful flower arrangements in our room, at the dining table and around the courtyard.

The breakfasts were awesome and we even got to try Marmite which is a nutritious savoury spread that's popular with the Brits. We will always have fond memories of Molly and Lucy and wish them well in their exciting travels around the world. If we ever return to Granada we will definitely stay again at Miss Margrit's!
