My friend and I enjoyed our stay in Granada. Rob and Claudia are very good host. The breakfast is good. The location is great close to the major attractions in the city.
We stayed for 2 nights, after 3 days we got hold of Rob and came back and stayed one more night due to a change of our plan. I would recommend anyone visiting Granada to stay here.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Silas for 10 days while on our honeymoon in Nicaragua. Our stay with Rob and Claudia was perfect in every way.

Prior to our arrival, Rob was very responsive to questions we had sent through email. Our flight into Managua was scheduled to arrive at 10pm, and Rob was able to set up a private transport for us ahead of time from the airport to Casa Silas at a very fair price.

Each day at Casa Silas started with a fresh pot of coffee or tea followed by a hearty breakfast that varied every day and often included local specialties (Nacatamales on Sundays are an amazing local treat!). The breakfast was the best we had at any accommodation in Nicaragua; in fact it was better than what you get at most budget western hotels.

The accommodations at Casa Silas are an incredible value for the cost. Each room comes with full privacy and an ensuite bathroom. The pool (just a few steps out of your room!) is the perfect way to beat the heat any time of the day. A/C is included, which is a rare find at the price point. Wifi is also included, and since there are only two guest rooms, it is quite fast for Nicaragua.

As hosts, Rob and Claudia are just perfect. They're very knowledgeable about Granada and are more than willing to suggest things for you to do or arrange for a local tour guide (ask for Manny!). If you're the type that likes your privacy and wants to explore on your own, they are very respective of that. Their dogs are friendly and playful too!

Casa Silas itself is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. Most tourists gravitate towards the park and calzada area, which can be quite loud. This area is just a 5-10 minute walk away through beautiful, safe residential streets. We never felt unsafe walking to/from Casa Silas; in fact we felt more like locals being in this area. Even better is that Casa Silas is just a block and a half from the locals market; for a truly authentic experience, take a walk through this market and take in the sights, sounds and smells of Granada!

My husband and I travel to immerse ourselves in local culture more-so than to be tourists. Hearing about this, Rob and Claudia went above and beyond their host duties by setting up a private dinner party for us with a local chef, who prepared a traditional Nicaraguan dinner right in front of us in the kitchen at Casa Silas while showing us the ingredients and talking us through the steps of how the dishes are made. We would not have had this opportunity anywhere else, and this is hands down our favorite experience from Granada.

Casa Silas is a one of a kind accommodation. We look forward to returning to Granada and spending more time with Rob, Claudia and the puppies! Thank you for your hospitality!

This casa was exactly as advertised. Rob helped me with directions on arrival to my destination. The casa is beautiful with an open courtyard & pool. Rob & his esposa were wonderful. Breakfast was fabulous. They provided a tour guide with horse drawn carriage for a city tour that was great. Carmen has been giving tours of Granada for 25 years. She did not disappoint. The bedrooms are spacious with well thought out decor & amenities.A/C and Internet are strong. Located close to Central Park in the heart of the city, close to everything. If you travel to Granada,I recommend Cada Silas with 5 stars. Their hospitality, coupled with knowledge of the region is remarkable.

A small but spacious home with great breakfast and friendly, knowledgable owners. The bed had a great mattress and the room had A/C. We used the pool numerous time to cool down and relax. They knew the area, the knew the good restaurants, and they knew and supported a growing Nicaraguan music scene. It was a pleasure and we will recommend it to folks on their way to Granada.

Casa Silas is fantastic. The interior is lovely with a small pool. There always seemed to be a breeze near the pool, so it was a great place to read or surf the Internet during the hottest part of the day. Rooms were large and very comfortable. Breakfast (especially the French toast) was delicious. The owners were great at providing recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Rob even walked us down to the route for the running of the bulls -- too bad the route changed at the last minute to accommodate a funeral. And we loved the dogs!
