It was hard to leave this wonderful place...it felt like a private retreat. Rob and Claudia have created a gem. Great hospitality, with friendly and very helpful hosts, ..an oasis in an interesting and stimulating city.

We weren't sure if a B&B would be right for us, but after reading reviews of Casa Silas we thought we would give it a try. This turned out to be an excellent decision. Rob is an awesome host!!! We immediately felt at home. We learnt so much about life in Granada and Nicaragua from him. We only had two days to spend in Granada, but with Rob's help we were
able to do so much! From recommending restaraunts to arranging tours and transportation, he did it all. We could never have done so much in two days on our own.
Casa Silas is perfectly located, just a short walking distance from everything. It's a beautiful home and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
We are so glad we choose Casa Silas!!!!!

We began our two week trip to Nicaragua at the Casa Silas and it was a wonderful introduction to a warm and friendly country. As others have said, Rob and Claudia are terrific hosts and the room was large and comfortable. There was air conditioning, but we didn't need it with the lovely breezes from the patio! I was a little nervous when booking that a place with only two rooms would be to "up close and personal", but this was not the case at all. Rob has a real mi casa es su casa attitude, even letting us make our own coffee in the morning before the breakfast time (we are early risers). Both Rob and Claudia are very accommodating and run a wonderful B&B.

We stayed at Casa Silas twice during our January trip to Nicaragua - the second time to escape a less than satisfying resort in San Juan. That we went back to stay at Casa Silas is truly a tribute to the hospitality of the hosts, Rob and Claudia, and their wonderful B&B.
The rooms (we stayed in both) were spacious and clean. The courtyard is immaculate and Rob very helpful. Claudia provided a spanish lesson and Silas and Pepper (their dogs) made us forget our fury friend we left behind in California.
Casa Silas has a perfect location, within a 5-10 minute walk of all Granada has to offer tourists, while being on a quiet street.
Breakfast (included) was wonderful, eggs, gallo pinto, plantains, bowls of fruit, and unlimited good coffee. Twice we were served nacatamales as a special weekend treat. Yummy!
I do not give 5 stars easily, but I really cannot find much wrong with Casa Silas. 5 stars it is.

We stayed at Casa Silas for two nights with our 2.5 year old daughter. Rob and Claudia were warm, gracious and instantly helpful with everything from finding the perfect carriage driver to locating toddler-friendly restaurants. The room was simple, clean and comfortable and the pool and patio was the perfect place to be during the warm afternoons. Silas and Pepper (our canine hosts) were also very sweet and a highlight for our daughter. The house is within easy walking distance to most everything, the breakfasts were delicious, the other guests (there are just 2 rooms) interesting and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone!
