I spent three nights at La Islita, and will be delighted to stay with them again. The only thing wrong was that the breakfasts were too big and too good, and I overate!
It's a lovely place, cool and comfortable, beautifully appointed and with the friendliest owners and staff you could want; I was traveling alone and felt completely comfortable and safe. Huge showers. Scrupulously clean. Friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is located on a quiet dead end, so there's no passing traffic noise. It's just a couple of blocks from the main plaza, and from the terrace you can see the cathedral and the volcano and across the roofs of the neighborhood... you can walk anywhere you need to go.
Andres and Tim will take very good care of you. I recommend La Islita...you'll be happy there.
