“One of the few bright spots in Granada”
Reviewed August 21, 2011

Until we had to split tabs and bills and they just ignored us for over an hour. The food is pub food but yummy when ure sick of gallo pinto and want a burger which by the way is absolutely yummy. We went here at least twice and were happy w/ things until like I said we had to split tabs and bills which should've been easy but turned into a fiasco. I think the main thing in Granada is to be aware of the pricing and also the lack of customer service once again rears its head.

I would recommend for pub definitely but beyond that would not bother.

“Irish but not the usual!”
Reviewed July 29, 2011

When visiting O'Shea's Irish bar in Granada, it wasn't your usual "Irish bar experience" as you would have with many Irish bars around the world, but then holidaying in Nicaragua is not the usual holiday experience either! Tom O'Shea from Dublin was a great host, the usual warm and welcoming greeting. Service was not great, however the food was great, only the Irish seem to know what to do with a potato! It was by far the busiest spot on the street, although the clash of music from Tom's bar and the bar next door was bit annoying at times, especially when the street entertainers added their drums to the mix. Nevertheless, I would recommend it as a must place while in Granada.

“Good bar, good location, fun at the quiz night on Wednesdays”
Reviewed July 27, 2011

Great location, lots of life in the street for people watching, fun on Wednesdays when there is a pub quiz that raises money for school supplies for poor rural schools.

“Not Irish and not nice”
Reviewed July 25, 2011

Service is bad, but beer is cold..... too bad the food is too. But you can sit and watch the old gringos pick up the young Nicaraguan girls... and wonder why you are there. It is a lively place, but a lot better to be found in the town and you won't support a joint that is a haven for disgusting behavior.

“Loved it! The location, Tommy and the Fish and Chips!”
Reviewed July 14, 2011

Not sure what the secret is in the fish and chip batter, but it was excellent. And, the tartar sauce had something special about it, too. A very welcome change to have a good plate of food after a loooong time in Central America. I like rice and beans and cabbage salad, but an old fashioned recipe really hit the spot! The experience was made all the better, by sharing the time with such a friendly owner, Tommy, so great to meet you. Every city needs a perfect Irish pub - you'e got it! Will definitely return next time to visit your new lounge opening next door. Buena suerte!
