“Great Little Restaurant for Lunch”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, my son and I sought out El Garaje for lunch one day, and we were not disappointed. Be forewarned that they have limited hours, so be sure you go early! We both had the pulled pork sandwich, which was amazing! I love spicy food, and it was even spicy enough for me! I would definitely eat there again.

“Delicious food and excellent service”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

My husband and I enjoyed (and split) a Chicken Quesadilla and the Chorizo Burrito that so many others raved about. Both were absolutely delicious, as was the slaw served alongside, and the owner, Paul, was delightful to chat with. Another plus - the beer is served in a frosty cold mug. Perfection!

“The restaurant is ranked Number 1 on TripAdvisor.”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

Restaurante El Garaje is a little out of the way and a little hard to find, but worth the effort.
We agree with the number 1 ranking for this restaurant for lunch. They close early (6:30 PM) and can't be considered a contender for an overall number 1 ranking of all Granada restaurants in my opinion. The food was perfectly prepared and presented! I ordered a pulled pork sandwich which was a real winner. My wife ordered a chicken quesadilla which she says was excellent. The owner stayed at our table to visit and proved to be very interesting and committed to the restaurant profession. We both felt the outstanding thing about the restaurant was the high quality of the food for the very good value.

“El Garaje”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

We went to eat at lunch at a nice little place in Granada, Nicaragua called El Garaje. It's located at 512 Calle Corral. It's quite a quaint little place with an eclectic fare of food. The menu is varied and changes, to some degree, daily. There are quite a few tasty vegetarian options. Paul Aquin appears to be the entrepreneur of this nice little place. There in the pictures you'll see: seared tuna (C$115 - $5.75), veggie wrap (C$115 - $5.75) and a chipotle corn and bean burrito (C$100 - $5.00). On a scale of 1 to 10, it's an 8!!!

“Skip the garage and eat in a real restaurant”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Limited menu, Not much air movement in restaurant, so it's stifling hot, Food was so-so. Didn't appear to be particularly clean. Waiter was bilingual and service was okay, but food took a long time to get to the table.

What you may have meant was the "Limited Menu" consists of 3 interesting daily specials, as well as a wide variety of sandwiches, quesadillas, soups and salads, all homemade and fresh. If producing high quality, creative food takes a few minutes longer than your average fast food diner then we apologize.
Granada is a hot city, 37-39 Celsius this time of year. We accommodate our guests with 5 fans for our 6 tables. There is always good circulation of air.
Great pride is taken in an immaculate, hygienic kitchen, dining area and bathroom, At no time is it anything except spotless. I am not sure which restaurant you were in that was not particularly clean, but I do know it was not this one.
