The upper corner of the beach has it all for us. Just when the road across the mountain meets the town, make a stop. One of the first small roads leading to the beach on your righthand side, you can see some charming pink bungalows right on the beach. This is Sangtawan Hotel and bungalows. The standard is decent and so is the price. Sitting on the porch watching the sun go down is memorable. The restaurant serves good meals and in the evening they set the tables on the beach and serves great seafood.
When you need a brake from the sun, do visit the massage specialists at the end of the row of bungalows. It is mother - daughter run and they cured my husband´s bad shoulder and my body felt ten years younger after their professional treatments.
Their neighbor is a great place "Four palms" that serves great food and is a popular place to watch the sunset in saco-sacks.
At the far end of the beach to the north is also a great place for sunsets and foods built into the rocks.
Just across the road from Sangtawan, you will find "Oodie´s" - a fantastic blues club, run by Oodie who allows tourists to take part if they can really play. Oodie and his guitar friend serve you the most brilliant guitar soloes.
We have been here in July and in December. July has some rain showers and bathing is not advised due to strong currents, but otherwise quite OK. December was perfect.
