“Enjoy the sea breeze in Zamboanga City”
Review of Paseo del Mar

Paseo del Mar

A few years ago, this was a dark, empty reclaimed site. Now, it is teeming with al fresco restaurants, well lighted grounds and a bustling nightlife along the bay. After the 5pm Mass at Fort Pilar, walk over to Paseo for an early evening stroll and maybe dinner and drinks afterwards.

The place is like a park by the sea. It has restaurants and wide open space for you to run or just sit down to savor the fresh sea air.
It is open only during the late afternoon. Plenty of visitors during weekend

You get to see the ocean while having endless choices of restaurants, cafes and bars. In the middle of it all is the 'musically gyrating fountain', or so they call it. Try visiting the place late in the afternoon, to get the view of the sunset; or in the evening to witness live bands or stand up comedians.

This place is a venue for preformers. Each restaurant had a different group preforming. Lots of good choices for food and backup generators if power went off

The main attraction is the dancing fountain that goes in tune with the rhythm and beat. Wonderful and entertaining. What i do not favor is that idea of letting the people view the fountain so close. In this way you can not get the best photo of the fountain without people in the scenery. If one gets hungry there are so many restaurants to choose from with in the vicinity. You will really enjoy it.

Do not forget to bring camera.. if possible with a tripod for the best night shot.
