A must visit for those visiting this part of Myanmar. And don't forget to try the Strawberries and honey.

We did not have enough time to really tour the Garden as we came from Mandalay in the morning reaching the Grace Hotel by 11.30am and then had a delicious lunch at the Lake Front Restaurant. We spent most our time at the aviary as we are avid bird-watchers but the scenic park was impressive as the various plant species were identified and marked clearly. As we had to visit the town too we did not have the time to explore the other attractions in the park so we would most likely return for a longer visit.

The aviary has interesting birds and beautiful peacocks. There is an impressive collection in the butterfly museum. Scenic views at the Tower which has a lift (no need to climb the stairs). The orchid garden there is OK. There were not too many flowers at the garden though. Nice to stroll around, hv a picnic & relaxing day there.

I actually walked from town to this place. Got lost along the way but i eventually found it. The walk to there was nice, you get to see lakes and the life of Burmese people. Anyways, this park is very well kept and you can see Burmese families out and about enjoying the day in the sunshine. I saw black ducks for the first time. I thought that was interesting. There is a small bird park too which had peacocks and all sorts of birds.

I loved walking the grounds of the gardens -- and especially watching Burmese families do their photo shoots and enjoy this beatiful, tranquil, unique Myanmar spot.

It felt like being transported to Europe given its heritage as part of the British empire period.
