This is a nice spot not near Rishikesh.
Getting up the hill requires a good fitness level but is also doable by having one to two breaks before reaching the top of the waterfalls.
There you can enjoy a tea or coffe and some sweets if you like.

In my second last visit to rishikesh when i was strolling through streets of rishikesh someone asked me way to waterfall which i was unaware of that rishikesh had waterfall as well so i decided that i will visit that waterfall.

This time when i came back to rishikesh for river rafting i decided to visit Neer Garh Waterfall we went on our bikes before ascending towards waterfall you need to buy entry tickets to waterfall.

We start ascending on our bikes it was raining slowly clouds were all down trust me my friends it was tough ascend on bike as well but view was amazing we reached end point from their its 2 min. Walk and you will reach the fall and i was disappointed when i reached it was filled with 100 of people bathing, eating, chilling, clicking no place for us to relax.

I saw few foreign travellers ascending further i asked one of them where are you going he told me ascend further you will. Reach upper level of this fall which less crowded and more beautiful. We started climbing its a tough climb steep climb i must say with our bags on our shoulders it was tough we still managed and trekked for almost half an hour we were knocked out and exhausted but when we reached their it was less crowded and beautiful.

Not something different from lower level it was similar but yes peaceful and quite and clean water. Must visit place small adventure i must say.

Clean water, swimable if you can brave the cold

Best getting transport or allow a couple hours walk which could be dangerous being hit by a car

Best to get a group and hire a taxi and have it wait

Some good photos possible

Being at neergarh waterfall, rishikhesh was an exhilarating experience. If you wish to spend some quality time with your family and friends amidst nature-rich environment, you can definitely plan a waterfall trekking in Rishikesh. The trekking to Neergarh waterfall starts 7-8 kms away from Laxman Jhula on the Badrinath Highway. One will witness water cascading thousands of feet from the mountain top if visits this waterfall just after monsoon season.Though I visited this waterfall in the month of december and believe me it was hell cold.
There are small pools along the hike where a hiker can sit and enjoy the serenity of falls. You can also consider taking a dip into the pool of fresh water. The best thing about this adventure activity is that it does not require any special skill to trek, owning to easy path and can be undertaken by people from all age group.

Details:
Distance- 7-8Kms approx(From Laxman Jhula)
Trek Level: Easy-Medium
Trek Distance- 2.5Kms approx
Waterfall Levels- 3
Note: Can go by your own car

Neer waterfall is a very beautiful place near Rishikesh ... If you do not have any problem in climbing the height then you must go here.

The path is well mended.
It’s clean and not to difficult to climb.
The pools are great! Not too cold.
Nice people around.

Beautiful piece of nature away from the buzz of Risikesh. The second waterfall was our favourite, with the clearest water and an incredibly kind man who runs the little shop and cafe. He made us feel incredibly comfortable and we spent a wonderful morning swimming, sitting in the sun and drinking masala chai with India’s magic masala crisps!

A visit to these waterfalls is a must but its recommended to visit early morning when it will be less crowded. During the day time there is too much of tourist rush which reduces the serenity of the place.

Located at 20-25 minutes drive from Laxmanjhula, Neer Garh Waterfall or Neer Gaddu is natural waterfall with 3 catchments i.e. 3 waterfalls at 3 different levels. Bridge is also there to cross the catchments. One should visit early to avoid the crowd. Entry fee is INR 30 for Indian citizen which needs to be paid at the prescribed entry counter.

Lower level of Waterfall is easily accessible even with kids. Higher level requires a bit of hike; but its worth it. Carrying own bottle of water is recommended. Few snacks stalls serving magi, cold drinks, tea etc. are there; plastic table and chairs are also available; one can sit in open with legs in chilling yet refreshing clean water and enjoy the snacks.

Temporary changing rooms are available, pair of change and towel is recommended.

Very nice experience. Worth a visit; if one is in/near Rishikesh.
